| Prince Willas Elendere You are speaking to nobility scum, you could be hanged for that, he says as he leads his horse over to her box. He gets off and takes off the saddle, before putting her inside. He turns and walks past the mercenary, the princess and the Kings hand. I'm going inside. He says, glaring at Lirael and walking away. |
| "Aurelia speaks with my voice, remember that" she told the mercenary, she would not let Aurelia be mocked either even if her methods were violent even if technically it was her fathers voice, yet Aurelia herself had said that Lirael was just like her father right? right? Lirael glared at Willas with the same heat as he himself had given her, if not more "Run to your father Willas" |
| As the prince walked past her she grew a smirk and said "Thought as much" Just like most of the nobility he was a pansy running from reality. "Understand that Mercenary? I speak with the voice of the Emperor, now relinquish your weapons, All of them." |
| Prince Willas Elendere He ignores the woman and continues to walk back to the castle, he wanted to go home, he didn't like this place at all. But he knew that his duty came first, he sighed internally and glared at the ground. |
| He gave a slight bow, completely ignoring the prince. "As you wish." He walked by them to one of the guards and relinquished his axe, shield and seax before returning. "Better?" He asked. |

| "You only need to look at him, I have to talk and play nice and then get my supposed 'your people will die' chucked in my face" she grumbled tuning at the ruined dress "this was one of my few favourites as well" she sighed, since it was black then the stairs would come out and not be seen easier |
| He looked over her dress and said "unfortunately there isn't much that can be done for the dress. But as for the 'you're people will die' I might have some input that might help." He said. |

| arching one eye-brow and furrowing the other Lirael looked at him curiosuly, "The way to save the people would be to unite both bloodlines, yet what do you have in mind?" she was curious, maybe the solution was outside the box |
| "There are several ways, one of the best is to be able to win the hearts and minds of the enemy country. A country can only fight so long if it's people don't want the war to continue. There are two big ways of doing this. One, fear. Two, compassion." He said ignoring the ladies remark and smirk. |

"And as for compassion, when an invading force enters a country the defending one will go to great lengths to slow down the invading one. Most common is the scorched earth strategy. Burn and kill what you can't bring with you and poison water wells. When you do this the people tend to suffer. So instead of the invading force making it worse, they provide add." He said to the princess. |

He walked circles around both of them, as if it was something he normally did. "Also war is an inevitably. People are violent and you will have wars no matter what. But the smart general can end it with as little bloodshed as possible on either side." |

If what you say is right and we go at them with compassion blah blah, they will call in their army to calm the people, maybe a quarter of that army at the least abandons duty and deserts since they dont want to hurt their familes etc, then The Sultan sends in his army and were all fucked." | Lirael looked at Aurelia, of course she didnt like bloodshed and she had a valid reason, but still, she wasnt experienced enough in the arts of war to know much about it and she probably lived in a naive bubble. "Can you stop circling us" she asked politely without an interrogative tone, she didnt like to feel like something was preying on her, especially now, and his prowling wasnt helping anything |
| He snapped to attention and looked at the circles around them. "Oh. Sorry. I tend to walk whenever I talk, helps me think." He said. He looked to the woman and tapped his here again in thought. "Tell me, who has the biggest army of the two countries?" |

| Sighing Aurelia looked at the Mercenary "Really think im gonna talk strategy with you? a random sellsword with no honor that he sells himself to the highest bidder? your nothing but a thug and why the hell am i even listening to you? you trespassed here." |
| Lirael was quiet, thinking, wondering if her parents had noticed her absence at the table, wondering if what the sellsword said was true, yet Aurelia also had a point, and a valid one at that |
| He shrugged. "You aren't wrong. I know what I am, I lack what you consider to be honor, but I am not cruel and I only wish to fight the strongest, not bully the weak. A berserker I may be, but I'm still a man." He said. He looked over to the princess and gave a deep bow to her. "Also I owe you thanks princess. You have given me a fair amount of your time and I have yet to even give you my me, I apologize for that. My name is Siegfried." He said righting himself. |

| Glaring at the sellsword her grip went back to her hilt as a precaution. She made no means to speak or make any other move as her stayed on Siegfried. Far as she was concerned he was yet another thug wanting work, work which she wouldnt even go near offering him. |
| "A pleasure" Lirael answered not really knowing what to do, it was also time for her to make sure the guests were okay since her dizzy spell should have finished by now, and if Willas did not go back to the table then suspicions of murder would be brought to the feast which would not work. "I must go and make sure Willas had found his way back to the throne room" she excused herself with a slight bow |
| He nodded. "I shall take my leave then. He turned to walked out. "Also if you ever want to talk again I'm currently staying at the tavern in the city." He said walking by the woman. "And as for you, keep up the good work on keeping her safe. It wouldn't do to have such an innocent soul leave this world too soon." He continued to walk and head out of the stables, grabbing his stuff from the guard on the way out. |

| "In a way it was good, he actually sought me out earlier today for once" she said while waking down the hallways, the maids simply sighed knowing her how they knew her and could only wonder what mischief Lirael had got herself into this time (going to hallway thread) |
| Monty Mars chuckled quietly as he watched the scene unfold. He had a feeling it would end up like this. Arranged marriages normally don't start out smoothly, after all. Although, he felt bad for the Princess, which was strange because he normally had a certain amount of disdain for the rich, but something felt familiar about the girl, and he wasn't sure what exactly it was. He decided to follow the two, and see what would happen next. |

| Arriving at the Stables Aurelia walked over to her armored steed, settling her equipment in the saddle packs and getting ready for her journey ahead, it was going to be long and not very honorable but it was something she had to do. |
| having cantered down the streets to the castle she finally reached the stables. A different page came running up to her with a worried expression but she gave him her horse as she slid of the saddle gracefully, like a cat. In one quick question the page confirmed Aurelias location, which was in the stable. Entering through the archways she saw Aurelia packing saddle bags. "Aurelia, what is the meaning of this?" Worry was clearly etched in her voice |

| She came closer to her, tugging softly on Aurelia's sleeve "I know when you at least is lying to me, please, we need to talk about before.." Lirael pleaded softly, hating Aurelia's tone |
| Aurelia turned her head slightly to Lirael and spoke "We do not have to speak about what happened, it has nothing to do with me anymore now that you are engaged. I must show my leniency and stay away from those situations." Still in a blank tone almost emotionless as she spoke |
| "What did you want me to do? Tell the King that I would not marry his son?" Lirael took a step back at the tone, seeing Aurelia so lifeless was scary, something that had never happened before |
| Aurelia turned to her fully, still one hand tightly grasping her sheath "I am not to get involved in such matters, they are your own and of the royal family, i have no cause to engage in such matters" |
| "You are the Hand of the Emperor Aurelia,"Liraels tone was growing cold as well with Aurelia's words "The matters of the royal family is your business" She spoke sternly wondering if Aurelia hated her now, something she wouldnt be able to live with. |
| " I am his tactician, his ward, i am to serve him in anyway he commands if it ensures our kingdom stays as a whole, not to get into affairs that regard romance of a unregal nature as you speak" |
| "Thats how angry you are then" The coldness in Liraels voice melted away, slowly, not really knowing what else to say, not knowing how to make amends |
| " I am not angry nor upset that you chose him over me, for i am just a servant of your father. Nothing More." Saying that she held onto her horse as she lifted herself up |
