Larse Town is the only town in Arzla, it has been the victim of a few raids and attacks in the past but has not been taken. |
| Raven After a few days of travel, Raven arrives with the Elven Princess. As they approach the entrance, Raven stops and turns to the princess, Put your hood up, it would do us no good if anyone found out about our race. I don't want any unnecessary attention. He says, putting his own hood up as he does so. |
| [b]Allora Vesryn[/b] She nodded slightly. "Of course adviser." She pulled her hood up around her face, hiding her ears. |
| Raven He leads the girl into the twisting and smelly streets of Larse Town. The peasants went about their usual business of spitting, shitting, begging and laboring. Raven holds onto Allora's hand so she does not get lost or swept away in the overcrowded streets of the bustling town. They eventually make it to an inn, which he leads her into. We will stay the night here and be on our way to Arzla in the morn, is that okay with you my lady? |
| [b]Allora Vesryn[/b] She nodded. [b]"You know adviser, to call me my lady within these walls might denote my status as some kind of noble. I think it might be better for you to just call me by my first name. In any case, this looks just fine." |
| Raven He dips his head slightly, Sorry, force of habit. As you wish m- Allora. He says before walking over to the innkeeper, he keeps some distant to Allora so she couldn't hear what he was saying. In reality, the inn had several rooms available but if Raven was to carry out his plan, lying was required. He hands the innkeeper some gold and walks over to Allora, They only have one room, you will sleep in the room and I will just sleep in the stables, you need your privacy after all. He says, his true intention was for her to offer to share the room, he was taking a small gamble here but it may or may not pay off. |
| [b]Allora[/b] She shook her head. [b]"Wait! No you can sleep in the room with me adviser!" |
| Raven He feigned hesitance, But do you not want your privacy? He asks, doubtful. |
| [b]Allora[/b] She shook her head. [b]"No it's fine! Just so long as you promise not to peek, it should be fine!" |
| Raven If you say so, let us make our way upstairs then, he says, leading her up a flight of creaky wooden stairs. He pulls out the keys that the innkeeper had given him and opens door number 3, he steps inside and looks around. There was only one bed, perfect, he thought to himself. |
| [b]Allora[/b] Allora looked around for another bed. [b]"Well.... where is the other bed?" |
| Raven It seems there is only one, I am terribly sorry again Allora. I will sleep on the floor, you take the bed. He says, putting down his bow and quiver. |
| [b]Allora[/b] She shook her head. [b]"N-no... it's fine, we can share a bed.." |
| Raven Raven nodded, If you say so my la- Allora. I do hope it is big enough, it looks quite cozy... He mutters. |
| [b]Allora[/b] Allora took a small pouch from her bag, that she took off her bag, and casually pulled a small loaf of baked elven bread from it, tearing it in half and holding it out to Raven. [b]"Here, have some Adviser. We should sleep soon." |
| Raven Thank you Allora, he says, taking the bread and eating it. Sitting down on the bed. |
| [b]Allora[/b] Allora nodded, and ate her bread quickly, taking her cloak off, and dropping it on the ground, then getting in the bed, and slipped under the bed covers. |
| Raven Raven took off his cloak and dropped it onto the ground, he gets into the bed beside Allora, under the covers. |
| [b]Allora[/b] Allora sighed. [b]"Adviser....do you really think we'll find my brother?" |
| Raven I honestly don't know Allora, he says to her. |
| [b]Allora[/b] Allora turned around and hugged him. [b]"I hope we do adviser...." |
| Raven Raven was quite shocked that Allora would hug him. He decides that the best course of action would be to hug her back, he wraps arms around her. |
| [b]Allora[/b] Allora sighed, then yawned. [b]"Good night adviser..." |
| Raven He smiles, Good night my lady, he says to her quietly. |
| [b]Allora[/b] Allora quickly fell asleep. |
| Raven He fell asleep beside her, sleeping till morning came. He woke up and looked at her with blurry vision, trying to gain his bearings. He stretches slightly as he remembers where he is. |
| [b]Allora[/b] Allora yawned and woke, stretching, and sitting up, next to the slightly awake adviser. [b]"Morning Adviser..." |
| Raven He yawns, Morning my lady, he says. During sleep, his hand had found its way to Allora's chest area, Raven was aware of the fact now but pretended to not notice. |
| [b]Allora[/b] Allora yawned again, then realized she felt some kind of wait on her chest. She looked down and blushed, gently moving the adviser's hand and not saying anything. [b]"Should uh.... should we get some breakfast?" |
| Raven He pretends to notice his hand for the first time, he scrambles out of bed and bows, Forgive me! He says. |
| [b]Allora[/b] Allora shook her head. [b]"N-no, it's fine..... let's just get some breakfast....." |
| Raven Yes, of course. Anything you say my lady, he says, going over to the door and opening it up. He looks back at Allora, waiting for her to follow. |
| [b]Allora[/b] Allora quickly put her cloak on, then grabbed her small knapsack, putting it on as well, then stepping outside the door, and waiting on the adviser. [b]"Remember adviser, use my name!" |
| Raven Of course Allora, he says, leading the way downstairs, he asks the innkeeper for some food then he sat at a table with Allora. Waiting on the innkeeper, I hope you like porridge, he says to her. |
| [b]Allora[/b] She sighed. "It will do. It's not like we brought the royal entourage with us...." She waited for the food to be brought out. She then suddenly remembered the dried fruit she had brought with her in her bag. She grabbed her bag off her back, and she pulled dried fruit out of her bag. [b]"I have dried fruit we can add to the porridge...." |
| Raven He nods, Excellent, I'm sure it will add flavor to the meal. As he says this, the innkeeper comes back with two wooden bowls filled with porridge, he sets them before Raven and Allora, Enjoy the meal, he says in a gruff voice, before lumbering off. |
| [b]Allora[/b] [b]"Thanks for the food!" Allora waved, completely innocent in her gesture, and her hood slipped off, revealing well..... her elf ears.... People all around the tavern and inn merely stop and stare at the smiling little elf, as she continues to wave, then realizes her hood isn't on her head anymore, and the silver circlet she always wore was still in her hair....She pulls the hood up frantically, as people around the tavern collectively hold there breath. |
| Raven Raven stands abruptly and grabs Allora's hand, We need to leave. Now. He says to her in a hushed voice. He pulls her from her seat and goes to leave. His belongings, along with his bow, was still upstairs but he could just sneak in later for it. Two big men stand in front of the exit, blocking the way. Tsk, move out of the way if you don't want to die today strangers, Raven says to them, grabbing two knifes of a table. The men stare at him and Allora, Why would two Elves be so far from home eh? Maybe if yah leave the female, we'll let yah go... |
| [b]Allora[/b] Allora was scared now. She took a step back. [b]"P-please.... l-leave us alone! Don't hurt them Adviser!" |
| Raven Raven sighed, this was a predicament. He needed to get out but if Allora didn't want him to kill them and he did, then it might set his plan back a bit. Close your eyes Allora, these people want to hurt us. He says, readying the knifes as if to throw them. People around the inn begin to get up from their seats, some aggravated and some wanting to leave the heated situation. |
| [b]Allora[/b] Allora shut her eyes, and crouched down, even going so far as to cover her ears. She would have tried to help, but she was no good in combat, besides, she was a pacifist anyways. |
| Raven Raven threw one of the knifes after seeing Allora crouch down. The knife sliced into one of the big men's ears. The man screamed and grabbed the now half-an-ear. Raven grabbed Allora and yanked her to her feet, then charging at the remaining big man. He sprinted forward and stabbed the knife into the man's throat, pushing it in deep and leaving it there. The man raked at his throat and made a gurgling sound as he tried to rasp in some air. He fell to his knees and Raven pulled Allora from the inn. Some people followed them out, yelling out curses and screaming after them. Other peasants, wanting to join in the excitement that rarely happened in their boring lives, joined the chase. Raven began to pull Allora through alleys, eventually looping behind the inn again, he pushes her to the side and crouches down. The peasants were looking around for them. Stay here, he says in a hushed voice. |
| [b]Allora[/b] Allora looked at Raven. "Adviser... i'm sorry! I... I didn't mean to! But.... my bag... I left it in the inn... OH no your bow and bag! I am really really sorry!"" She waited for Raven to say they could move. In the meantime, a single peasant broke off from the main group.... moving down the alley. |
| Raven I'll get them, stay here, he says to her before jumping up and sprinting at the wandering peasant. He slams into him and tackles him to the ground, pulling out a knife as he does so. He tries to gut the man but the peasant had a bigger physical body and pushed Raven off, Raven was not trained in hand to hand combat and had a slim frame. The peasant had a bulky body more suited to this type of thing. He slams Raven into a wall by his neck and tightens his hold there, choking him. Raven had lost the knife and could now do nothing, his eyes widened and he tried to feebly kick the peasant. |
| [b]Allora[/b] Allora watched as Raven was throttled to death. Gripping the hunting knife she had taken she knew some drastic action had to be taken. She closed her eyes, running at the man, knife raised, and jumped on him, shoving it in his throat. The man's eyes widened as he fell to the ground, gurgling as blood filled his throat. He fell to the ground, dead. Allora however, continued stabbing the man in the chest though. She was sobbing as she did so... in some kind of blood infused raged... |
| Raven His eyes widened further as he realized that Allora had saved him, and was still stabbing the man. He smiled internally, so she will kill for me huh? he thinks to himself. He then pulls Allora off the man and hugs her to his body, running a hand through her hair, Hey... Hey... Calm down... It's okay... He whispers to her. |
| [b]Allora[/b] Allora sobbed yet again. "I-I didn't want to kill him-but he was choking you! Why are humans so mean!" She sobbed into his chest. Her cloak was covered in the peasant's blood though, and probably needed to be gotten rid of. She was also still clutching the knife. |
| Raven He pulled the knife from her hand, then took the cloak off her. Handing her his in return, Here, put this on, I'll be back soon, he says to her soothingly. He holds the knife and begins to sneak over to the inn, clambering into the window. After a few minutes, he comes back out with their belongings. A peasant spotted him and shouted out, alerting the others. He quickly loads his bow with an arrow and puts it through the mans throat, but now a group of the peasants charged at him. He floored a few of them with arrows and the others got the message, run or die. They ran. |
| [b]Allora[/b] Allora puked on the ground, disgusted with herself. She put on the cloak on, pulling hte hood around her head. She had stopped crying... but just curled up in a ball, leaned against the alley wall... waiting for Raven to return. |
| Raven Raven approached Allora, kneeling down beside her and rubbing her back. Hey... You alright? He asks her. |
