First of all, the new sound effects are cool and stuff, but without a volume control they are horribly loud. Well, at least here, where I always have the main Windows volum at max and then adjust volume in each application separately.

- An option to disable all sounds (without choosing each to No Sound)
- Disable tips on start up

Glad that you've considered implementing pop up for joining the club. Hope you did it for every new version update (every time after updated).

It asks only once, even if they click cancel. But maybe I'll reset that every few versions

phph, I was looking at it maybe 5 minutes, couldn't see. finely found.
Had a problem because was looking for "Disable..."

btw what is this "Disable menu tooltips". Is this those boxes with explanations what each element means (e.g. "Disable Hints in Menus" pop up when hovering over "Disable menu tooltips")?

It's the hints for the main menu items.

Btw, can you try a new build? I completely modified the way sounds work, it shouldn't crash anymore now for you.

When I start MALu it does a check for my anime folders and removes them if they are not present, which is a little annoying since I usually have my external harddrive turned off D:

Can an option be added to disable this?

fixed, now it will only notify in the tray when a folder is missing

I dont know if it was added (i can't find it) but it should be a feature that would allow the user to deactivate the tracking of one of the media programs. For example i use MPC and VLC for anime but use Winamp for music and have some conflicts when the both are up because MAL Updater checks both players (not to talk that i had to deactivate pop-ups and sound because it would bother me with Media not Found everytime i switched music)

If i choose only MPC as media player and watch some animes in VLC of course they wont get updated. Wouldn't it be simple to have a "Don't Track" feature instead of a Player feature?

Thanks Kotori, seems to work now. (3 days ago, when you asked the build didn't work, crashed when I pressed play buttons. After today's update, however,I can hear sound :) )

Also there is no problem with buttons in torrent.
Also great that you've added buttons to setting window :)

is there a way to calculate the space of hdds that are mouted as folders only?

eg ive got several external disks and monted them on xp as "D:ext01" and so on but i didnt asign any driveletters since it would confuse me everytime when i change the externals and i would run out of letters anyway oO

It counts every drive where you have a folder. If you run malu before plugging your external disk you will have to restart it.

ive tryed restart of malu but it dosent change anything...

i think its since i access the hdd only via folders without assigned driveletters
and since it dosent work with an internal one to (i created an folder for c:\ on my d:\ and added it to mal...) could it not work because ive D: itself as watchfolder classified?

so ive got multiple entries starting with d:\........

Added an extra label in the settings window which gets the free space from all the hard disks and removable drives, refreshed automatically once a minute.

I can't understand your answer very well... but it should work with any type of drives, either picking just a folder or the root, it checks for the entire drive from every folder.

i meant that my harddrives havent asigned an driveletter itself but are handled wia that ntfs folderthing from win xp

with win ix p you can asign an driveletter and/or folders as mountpoint for hds and dvd/cd-rw drives ......

and since i have so many ext hdds i assigned only folders as mount point since driveletters are somehow dynamic when the drive isnt active :/

School is over. I have a lot of free time, even though I have a part-time job.
Therefore, I humbly request a marathon mode. When activated, it would automatically notice what anime you begin watching (or continue watching, if one wants to, say, marathon something from episode x and onwards), and then instantly start up the next episode of that series the moment it detects the previous episode being closed (as in no longer playing). Eventually an option to enable/disable a pop up asking whether you want to watch the next episode or stop the marathon and thusly also disable marathon mode.

Any plans to have MALu edit the xml file it uses to read in your completed list when you set an anime to complete?

Edit in response because I don't want to post an entirely new post for no other reason than to say: haha nice job :p, I look forward to when it's released, no rush though.

It would be really nice, if MALU could support other programs than mIRC. XChat, for example.

Already tried for XChat, not possible. It doesn't support commands through DDE, and other ways are too much work.

Then, if MALU could just show the command and the user could copy&paste it to XChat. You know '/me blablabla'.
Or just instead MALU could be copying only the command to clipboard, and then manually CTRL+V to irc client.

No idea if this has been suggested before, if it was, you may slap me XD.

It would be cool if we could use our own voice clips for sounds? For example, we can match anime voice clips with the corresponding themes. The Miku sounds are pretty cool too but it would be nice if we could edit them o_o... At least I would appreciate that XD.

No idea if it's possible? I went to check if the sound clips were stored in a folder but couldn't find them XD.

<--- quote that, it would be cool also to make "all around" themes.
But mhn, afaik a new theme maker should be already on plan so just remember to put that in :D

This is certainly not mandatory, and it might actually be a bad idea (at which point, ignore me)...

But I have on my list the sequal to a series. I'm at 0/24 episodes watched. I decided I should rewatch the first season before I watch the sequal. But now every episode I watch of the first season, the second season tries to update because the program mistakes the first and second season as the same thing.

That's perfectly acceptable. It's probably also mandatory, or else extra numbers and things would get in the way and make reading episode titles almost impossible.

But I've noticed that when I'm at 0/24 episodes watched, I can watch episode 7 of the first season and it skips all the previous episodes even though it knows I've never watched them, and tries to update to episode 7. This seems a little odd. Why would -anyone- willingly skip an episode like that?

I'm not sure if this would be a good thing or not. But perhaps make it only update if you're watching the next episode in the series. This could be useful, if you accidentally misclicked and you end up watching an episode out of order. You can look on your list and see: "ah, wait, it didn't update. I must have missed something"

Or you could potentially have a popup which says: "are you aware you're skipping an episode in series: __________ Yes/No/Don't ask again"

Not incredibly important, but it might be a nice little feature.

Is it possible to add support for higher DPIs than 96... Or even if you can't can you get rid of the stupid error message that pops up when not using a DPI of 96... I don't care if I can't read anything in MALU but it can still track what I watch...
