This is a random thread I'll start while waiting for the new chapter.

Do you guys think Aizen, in his butterfly and monster form would have survived a direct hit with the soukyoku?

We know Aizen in his form is nearly, if not completely immortal, but we don't know how far can such immortality go. The soukyoku is a weapon the power of which is said to be equivalent to that of a million zanpakutou. Once it pierces its target its power increases tenfold and it completely erases the soul frm existence.

It would seem it's a pretty inescapable annihilation and even Aizen would have succumbed, but we already saw Urahara burning Aizen's soul from the inside, to the point of erasing him completely, but to no avail.

So what do you think? Would aizen in his most advanced form survive or perish if hit by the sokyoku?

yes Ichigo did stop it once, but we dont know if he could stop it again. the first time was luck. the fire bird phoenix thing probably wasn't at full power. the 2nd time he probably wouldn't be so lucky.

they talked about this in the series...where have you been.

most likely though aizen in his super powered modes would have no problem what so over with it. you gonna remember aizen took out a cleaner which is suppose to impossible not to mention really dangerous.

Aizen was a god in that form.

I have a hard time understanding how did Ichigo survive. i'm gonna say it was pure luck, or the Soukyoku wasn't prepared to use it's full might, since it was calculated in order to take out a helpless victim.

@astrozombie84

You have a point. Aizen was on a whole other level and he even ascended beyond that.
I'm just curious who created the soukyoku and what a power equal to a million zanpakutos looks like.

well, as for 617 chapter, Ichigo is:

I bet it's one of 0 Squad.

I think Soukyoku (or milion zanpakutos power) is "weak". It is used on the prisoner that is held by Kidou (Kuchiki Rukia).
And we don't know what is "1 zanpakuto power". It might be even Nameless Zanpaktuto => "refers to the grossly reduced power of a Zanpakutō".

@op
And by direct hit you mean no Kidou (eg. Aizen had kido to protect back of his neck) and no other "power ups" then it would be hard... but Kidou and other features are what makes him "strong"
