I saw the news today. Queensland is so hot that red belly black snakes (one of our most common (and up there on the deadly list) venomous snakes) were seen in the centre of the CBD, in Queen Street Mall no less (our biggest shopping street, there is literally never less than 3000 people there during the day). They were looking for some shade where they wouldn't be disturbed, slithered out of the bush and parks near by into the crowded CBD. It's been hot and dry for the last 3 days, so much so that friggin' VENOMOUS SNAKES ARE COMING AND INVADING THE CITY LOOKING FOR SHADE AND COOL.

I hate the Aussie heat so much sometimes.
