Well it gets your adrenaline up because you are in a state of panic and pain, your body gets into a FIGHT FOR YOU LIFE survival mode and boosts your running speed and stamina and fighting strength as to avoid death so I can see why people would enjoy choking. I don't though.

Oddly, if it's in a fictional setting, it sometimes can be.

In reality? No. The idea of either giving or receiving it in real life makes me feel faint.
