This is in the last episode when Takao finds her notebook thingie. Where it is translated as "shitheads"(even though it actually says shit)
She's written it as クズ (kuzo) instead of what I thought it would be; クソ (kuso)

And also, why is it written in katakana? Sorry I'm new at japanese.

These are two different words.

屑くず　means garbage, trash, scrap (and I have no idea why it's written in katakana here)
屎/糞くそ　means shit, excrement
