Omy God it's fucking back baby! The chillest anime that's never boring! Perfect show to watch while eating lunch or snacking.

@HiljainenSipuli Interesting take, since I was just wondering if I would have enjoyed this episode more if I had just recently watched the first season instead of having a 2.5 year gap (can't believe it's been that long!). I mostly enjoyed season 1 because of the vicarious enjoyment of seeing other people enjoy the food you prepare. It seems like with the time gap I've lost my connection with the characters and so don't particularly care about seeing them enjoying these meals anymore. The world building and plot (or lack thereof) have always been really weak in this series, and I doubt that's going to change this season.
@ZwHwY i also do not have a good relationship with food in general so it might heavily affect my opinion on this food focused series :D
"two gluttoneus mouths begging for food was already getting on my nerves towards the end of s1" was a bit of an exaggeration :P

i do still like the show, the characters and what they get up to, but at least towards the end of s1 all episodes were essentially: get reason to kill monsters, kill monsters, beg for food, make food, eat food. i just wish there was more than just that.

in s1's comments i think i did say that i might just be asking something from the show that it just simply isnt supposed or trying to be doing.

Fel drooling like a madman never gets old. I swear, these familiars are such gluttons. Poor Mukouda can't catch a break when it comes time to cook. It’s a good thing he has his online shopping or he’d be in deep shit. Season 2 starts off with a bang introducing us to another cute familiar, Dora-chan the pixie dragon. I can't wait to see what shenanigans Mukouda and his party get into this season, and hopefully, we'll finally get to see what the rest of the otherworlders are up to. Also, we get to see that Mukouda will have his hands even fuller with another two gods to feed. Well, at least that means another extra blessing or two. 🤣🤣

I wonder who they had to pay to use Dorachan? This is on of the few Isekais that I can enjoy.

I enjoyed S1 but was surprised at a S2. Nice little show but I can think of many more above it that I’d rather watch a S2. I’ll gladly watch it as the fall slate has slim pickings. MAPPA is just above average with shows that don’t have swords, monsters, and acrobatic fights.

Not much has changed in terms of graphics, but the story is still as enjoyable as in season 1. The opening and ending songs are quite nice to listen to, and the animation in them is pretty good as well. I’m most looking forward to seeing what kind of recipe will be used to cook the monster meat.

Oh, and Mukoda has a new contracted monster named Dorachan. From the ending song, it seems that Mukoda no longer cooks alone—his contracted monsters now help him out too.
