| checking in again, no 2023 release I guess.. absolutely wild that we got season 1 in 2017, the movie just 2 years later in 2019 which already felt like an eternity back then because of course anime movies come very slowly to the west and now nearly 5! years later there is still nothing solid I might actually just learn japanese and read the damn novel before this comes out |

I don't want to state the obvious, but the light novel is in English, but is in hiatus since 2020. Never the less, the anime adapted 4 so far, so till 12 you have plenty to read. I also gave up on waiting, and now i am on 9th volume happily reading more and more of the story

@Comander-07 Its way further, the film ends vol 5, English vol 12 releases in the coming weeks. The translation is perfectly serviceable, its only slightly lacking when Tanya is referring to herself in the 3rd person.

@Comander-07 Amazing! Now that I've read the comments, after following your advice, such a comment does appear to exist! However I definitely read the entire thread before making that comment, since not doing so before would be very silly, thus that must be a fake comment made after the fact by hacking the forum or we're having a group hallucination!

Not sure whether to interpet 'underway' as meaning just started or has already been in production, but either way I think the best we can hope for is an announcement in the upcoming months of a Winter 2024 release, but even then that might be overly optimistic.

| An air date announcement of a anime can take way over a year after the initial announcement of the anime. An example would be the third season of Dog Days it was announced on November 2012 but the air date wasn't made known until August 2014. There always delays such as with production or scheduling conflicts. |

| I somehow find this hard to pinpoint on studio Nut, it simply doesn't make sense, they released like 3 anime before Youjo Senki even got a vague release date, let alone any information years after the movie released, and that's their most noteworthy anime by far. What exactly could be forcing it into this limbo? I don't believe it to be an issue within the studio since they have released entire shows in the meantime unless it's the type of issue that requires budging and no one wants to give in. |
