Not long ago, demon slayer has not only became the #1 highest grossing animated movie in Japan (which also means highest grossing film of Japan 'either animated or not' in Japan) but it has also become the #1 Japanese film worldwide. Obviously #1 movies of Japan are anime movies.
SO WILL IT BECOME THE FIRST EVER JAPANESE ANIME MOVIE/ JAPANESE MOVIE TO HIT 400 MILLION USD?
Edit: It has crossed 400 million USD a good time ago. It's time to see if it hit half a billion mark.
yep it did. According to Wikipedia. Gotta wait for the official announcement.

I don't believe Wikipedia. Official statement would have been made if it did hit 500 million USD.

Well well well. Now there are rumours of it reaching 500 million USD mark (mainly Wikipedia).

Has it reached 500 million really? Or the number is incorrect?

Yes. Multiple sites and news do confirm that it has crossed the 500 million dollar mark, not only making it the highest grossing anime film, but also the highest grossing film of 2020 (thats the biggest news for the entire community)
If you enjoyed the time you wasted, then its not a waste of time.

Hopefully ufotable learns a lesson and diverges away from trash Type/Moon products and starts focusing on better IPs such as KnY and such.

oh. Congratulations to it. It could have been higher if it was released in China's theatres.
