She is our 2nd openings/ending updater. xD @ImCrazyInLove *** Thanks for joining us and welcome! ^_^ First off, you can now request a custom badge in the official badges thread. You just post a pic you want on it or choose a badge that you already like the pic. You pick which badge style you want from the 20 that are posted, and I will put your pic in it (if you want a diff one) which will say staff on it like ours. There is a better explanation in that thread. Just put staff repost or something on the request. Your job is find replacement youtube videos for our openings/endings. We want you to post the video codes (the string of letters, numbers, and symbols following the equal sign) in this discussion. Just post for example: Nise op1 and then the vid code. We only want the original animation sequence and the original length in jap audio. The vid can be mirrored (backwards), low quality, boxed (a border of some kind around it), raw (with no subs), or with a language other than english on the subs... it doesn't matter. People try all kinds of things to get around copyright. There is an easy way to update the openings/endings. If you go to our main page, and click on the Other Features spoiler you will find them. Go to youtube.com and copy an paste the missing video title into the search on yt. Sometimes they will be a little hard to find. Let's do the first one that needs updating together. I just searched for "Nisemonogatari op 1". Nothing came up besides covers and stepmania lol. So now I'm going to add the full word to opening instead of just op. (in most cases you won't have to) Okay so I see OP 2 but none for 1 whatsoever. I'm not giving up yet though! I hit the back button on my browser and click on one of the openings that are a cover. This one: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-F7wlbcV8cA (the -F7wlbcV8cA is the code for this vid btw) So I look at the vids on the right and start clicking the japanese ones I can't read cuz still no good vids pop up. So I keep clicking vids and checking the vids on the right. Unfortunately all I can find are the song without the original animation sequence on it! I've been looking for 5 minutes with no luck. So now I have two choices. I either post in the staff discussion that I can't find it, or I look on a different site and just post the link to it on the staff discussion. The biggest problem you will run into is not knowing what an opening/ending should sound like. You can go here: http://www.goodanime.net/ for the current season's shows or to search for an older show so you can preview what the vid is supposed to look and sound like. It's okay if you really can't find a vid. Nisemongatari Op 1 is probably going to be like that most of the time. Damn problem vid. Normally, you would just try to check for it every 3 days or so when you check the others. Or you could find a link to another site for the time being and deal with it after the season has ended and the copyright claims slow down. However, I'm going to use the comparison of op1 and op3 I found, since it has the original animation and the same song on it. So you don't have to worry about that one unless it gets kicked. Okay so your first assignment is finding a replacement vid for Mirai Nikki ed 2 . Just go through it like I posted above and you shouldn't have any problems. After you get the hang of it and post the vid code here for that one--- We'll talk about the archives. :D I'm not sure if any need changing there, but some prob do. You'll have to update those only about once a month though. Your job here is listed under job descriptions in the first post of this thread if you ever need a reminder of what you should be doing. There will also be deadlines posted there for card threads or archive updating. (the archive updating deadline I posted there is not set in stone at the moment) If you ever have any questions don't hesitate to ask! xD About LEs and SE cards: You can now have whatever the staff limit is. Most of the time, it is both of the two cards offered, but just check the rules each time to make sure. The next LE will be Valenitine's SE. You are an admin now so just put your request under the staff requests section. I know all this is self-explanatory so gomen lol. But as always I want to make sure. Anyway, now that you are staff you can make cards for the LEs when we open them to the staff. (Kittilicious and I) Most goal threads are open. I'll be posting the Valentine SE info today or tomorrow. If you would like to make cards for it, just follow them, and post your card codes here by Feb. 12th. OH! And never edit any existing threads and especially the main page. Everything is backed up but if it is edited it will kill the codes. Just post your vid codes in this discussion. | @all staff ~ If you'd like to participate in the upcoming Valentine's Special Edition Member Cards thread, then you will need to have you cards/codes posted in this discussion BY Feb. 12th. We are opening the thread sometime during the day of Feb. 13th. This time we are doing it a little differently. You may make however many cards you want to. You may limit them however you want to. I need you to post your rules here for your cards. This consists of: how many members may request and how many staff may request (the number doesn't have to be different). Keep in mind that these cards will be open from sometime ont the 13th until 12:00am EST Feb 15th (Valentine's night at midnight). It is possible that we will get many requests, so you may want to really limit the amount of cards members can get so you don't get overwhelmed. But this up to you. You can post your cards/codes and rules here anytime before the 12th (the earlier the better). Do not add your cards to the actual thread. I will handle that since the coding on MAL is still messed up. The cards should have space on them for a member name, 3 digit number, PCM or Pictorial Culture Miscellany, and either Valentine's Day SE or LE or some combination of this. Mine wil prob have the letters LE and then Valentine's Special Edition on them. Just mention Valentine edition somehow on it. @SouLovE ~ Here is the list of winter cards to do. There are more than I thought there would be. We're planning on sending out the mini-newsletter in 3 wks. So I'd like to have these cards completed and posted by Feb. 22nd. | @staff who participated in the 300 LE If anyone would like their cards added to the mass delivery that our deliverer Ryll+ is going is to send in about a week. You'll need to upload the requests to some kind of hosting or file account (like photobucket, imageshack, mediafire, etc), and then post the link to it here. Ryll+ will deliver all the links in one msg. If you need help with this just ask. You may choose to add your delivery to ours, or you may deliver them yourself. It's up to you! :3 Please say something here if you plan to have your link sent with our mass delivery. We will wait for you. We'll prob try to send this out sometime next week. |

| Okay ~ moving on. This is a reminder for anyone who wants to participate in the Valentine's SE. Have your cards posted by tomorrow night (Feb 12th)! The thread will open on the 13th. Most likely in the morning. I have caught up all my requests. I'm going to have Ryll+ deliver just mine this time since there are 4 threads to go thru. Anyone who wants Ryll+ to deliver theirs too, just post your delivery links. I've found mediafire and photobucket easiest to work with, but you may use any hosting site you want. Just post a link to your album here and I will write up the delivery msg to Ryll+. |

| ***Attention to all staff members that are participating in the Valentine SE: How many member posts are you guys going to allow? 10, 15, 20...etc. ??? How many? Let me know asap or your cards will stay open til the 15th no matter how many requests you get. If I forgot to mention this earlier then I'm sorry. I'm too lazy to go back and check tonight. ~.~ EDIT: I did not state the limiting thing. GOMEN. Originally we had planned to just accept all requests until the 15th est. However, I don't think that would be fair to the new cardmakers since I did not state that specifically. You may chose to have your stay open til the 15th... or you may limit your cards to however many member posts you want. Hypercardiac chose 15, I chose 30, whatever you choose is fine I just need answer soon plz. |
