I worked my ass off yesterday thought I'd share this with my friends.
Yesterday I spent about 12 hours!!!, yes I'm crazy, creating two polls for the new FALL SERIES coming out. Who new it would be so difficult, but their were a lot of pics and series/movies/ova's that needed further scrutiny to make sure that they were actually coming. Once series that is supposed to be coming out was Inuyasha Final Act. Moetron and other sites still have it posted as being released sometime in October, but the wikifansubs has it crossed out meaning it was dropped. Viz media has already licensed the series so they might actually be simultaneously subbing it for the net themselves. Moetron definitely has the best list so far with links to all the new shows, including all the movies and OVA's coming out. Check out "TO", watch the little streaming video, it reminds me a lot of Igloo.
BTW, Ginger you anime list page rocks. I need to learn how to git into these graphic interchanging format pics.
hmmm... Chobits. i've loved Chobits since i watched it in Iraq. it was one of the anime that got me back into watching after a long hiatus. Chi (the main character, imo) is so cute. it's been a while since i watched it, but i think there is a significant plot line that they leave out of the anime. i didn't know this until i started to read the manga, but i suspected it would be there. Chi is still as cute as ever, not to mention sexy sexy. which makes me slightly uncomfortable because she looks like a ... very young female. it also makes me lol, just the same as the anime did. if you like the anime, then you will like the manga. plus it's only 8 volumes, so collecting it is a cinch. did i mention Chobits is one of my all time faves? perhaps you picked that up.
Hey Ginger, hows it going. So you've played right into the theme that I've been following lately and that this old school titles. Cleopatra was crazy retro, the style was all over the place, I liked it. I haven't watched the others yet but I will soon enough. Desert Punk is decent, I enjoyed it too.
i watched it with dubs. they did a very good job. i enjoyed it more because i could just relax and watch without reading. though, in general, i prefer subs.
i was very impressed. the animation is better than some anime from the 80s and 90s. it was well done. i loved all the imagery. i'm so happy you found this.
desert punk... i loved it. i was also very surprised. you really don't have to think much to enjoy it, but there are some deep messages. it is also very entertaining and funny. if you hate raunchy humor, then you might not like it. they constantly refer to breasts as ... hooters, milk missiles, torpedoes, jugs, etc. i devoured it in three days. it's on NF IW, if you have an account. i highly recommend it.
Apologies for the late reply again, have been pretty busy... but also busy watching anime in my free time, which is always a good thing!
Everything I'm watching seems to be enjoyable at the moment, I'm on a bit of a roll. Have just got the first Gurren Lagann DVD (it just came out this side of the pond) and am loving that as I thought I would. Unashamed old-fashioned super robot fun. Also marathoned Ichigo Mashimaro in one night... was a bit unsure at first (the loli aspects were putting me off a bit) but it turned out to be quite funny and not at all perverse. And now I'm on with Gunslinger Girl which is off to a promising start.
Always glad to see someone get into UY. The only option for me where GE 999 is concerned is to clear some space on the ol' hard drive and go hunting for downloads I think...
Wow, you've started Urusei Yatsura and Galaxy Expess 999... That should keep you occupied for a while! Looks like you're enjoing UY, I notice the Lum avatar so I presume that's a big thumbs up. Just wait 'til Ryuunosuke enters the picture - If you like Kei you should like Ryu a lot too. How are you finding the Galaxy Express series? I was excited when I heard it was being put online, then very disappointed when I learned it was blocked for those of us outside the US... T_T
I absolutely loved Princess Princess...that was actually my second time watching the series. I've been working on Heroic Age and D. Gray-Man...both are soooo good!
