| @RavenSkye It still depends on the Picture. I would just continue to try both and see what you like more. My definition of lighten was really focused on the two pictures you posted because if you compared the effect of the lighten and overlay I would have said the lighten made stuff just simply lighter + a little litle layer of white over it while overlay in General as I said is more about strengthen the colors and that's why I often prefer overlay especially when applied to the whole image, but I'm no expert and this is only my personal opinion :3 |

| @RavenSkye I agree the overlay looks better! I like the brighter color it brings out considering this isn't like a dark themed picture or anything. For flatter things it seems to dull the color more imo and I usually don't find it better unless it is the look you are trying to go for. |

| @BigJk Thanks for the feedback and tips! I'll just check between them every time I to use them. Will also watch out on different tutorial with how they do. @silverwhirlwind Yeah, you may be right, lighten would work better on a dark scheme. As for the flat color, sometimes I find them attractive and they seem to be effective on a plain background or more 2d-like images (with little to no depth). Also they refreshing from time to time ^^ Thanks for the feedback too. |

| @Red_Salmon I'm really digging that 2nd place card. @silverwhirlwind No, I haven't touched making anything anime related in quite some time. I made a banner for my friend's Youtube channel and have been updating it here and there but other than that haven't really touched Photoshop. I just have so many things I want to do and I can't get myself to start a project. I really wanted to make a Valentine's card but had no time. =( Maybe I'll make a belated one... Basically I get home from school and it's off to work until night and then when I get home I just want to watch anime or play games/visual novels. And do homework too! (hehe) It's cool seeing the club blow up recently though. @RavenSkye It's probably because my monitor isn't good for image editing, TN panel 144hz, I can't really see a difference between the four Youjo Senki pictures but I will say they look pretty rad. The Titan picture looks a bit faded, I think it would better if it's a bit more vibrant but that's just me. Looks kinda wishy-washy. |

| Nice! You're getting a hang of it now :D good work. Try this site too, the font could use some improvement. @Tainted I'm not quite sure. It looks quite good though :) maybe the character is a little too blurred out, especially the back side of the hair. They mesh in with the background too much, imo. |

I made new sigs which one is better? This one or  The simple one  |

| Wow I've missed some things but Midterms are over so hopefully I'll have more time :D So I watched a tutorial on a new technique I liked any thoughts? I was also asked to make a signature with a real person, which I have done maybe one other time?? I think it turned out okay but what do you guys think? One last one :P I haven't worked with fire in a very long time any comments or ways I can improve it? |

| Hi, i'm new here, and i'm a big noob when it comes to doing photoshop. Yesterday I made a post asking for feedback for a picture I edited, and got no feedback. Hopefully I'll get some here :) I used paint.net, since I don't actually own Photoshop form my self. The character is Casshern from Casshern Sins. |

| Hello there! If you were aiming for one of those cut-scene serious edits I would say the first one looks better! In the second one the sky looks noisy everywhere maybe if you just used the filter on the person it might look a bit smoother like the 1st edit. Paint.net is a good tool for those who can't get photoshop, but you can do so much with it. I would suggest looking up tutorials for it as they can be very helpful and add many different techniques to you arsenal or editing skills! @kllr |

| Yeah I've been trying to brush up on some skills that I have forgotten and such. Also trying to earn some new ones, I personally think the hardest part of graphic editing is finding good backgrounds, text, and color corrections. I used 3 different pictures for this background and you can't even see 2/3 of it >.> |

| So uh... my first creation for here is a remake of an old request back on my first forum. I remembered it the other day when I went back into my image album and found it. This one was always a personal favorite of mine and looking back the original is kind of...eeeehhhh. xP First the old one from 2 years ago. The re-done one 2 years later. What do you guys think? Yeah the first one has a texture problem, plus the picture itself kind of ended up being slightly transparent. Since this site I used made it that way when I did the render. 0.o The second one I just used GIMP this time. |

| @AniAmber I think it looks pretty good! Depending on what you were going for I would have chosen a sans type font because it gives me a martix-y vibe. But if that's what you were going for I think it looks fine. The head placement it good to, I like that it's not perfectly centered :) |
