| they're not supposed to, at least not naturally. however, you'll be hard pressed to find a non-shiny apple in the US, since they like to add a nice shiny layer of wax to make the fruit appealing |

| well the average american is unaware of the fact that the apple has wax, I wouldn't have known if I hadn't done a report on pesticides in high school (apparently, the wax traps pesticides on the apple that you end up eating, since you can't get rid of the damn wax unless you scrub your apples or something) |

| there are risks at high levels of exposure. either way, our veggies, fruits, chicken, and seafood taste like shit in comparison to other countries. unless you buy organic or grow your own, the food you get has a fraction of the flavor that you could be getting. the sad part is that so many people are used to it that they don't even know what they're missing out on. I know I get bummed when it's not tomato growing season, because then I have to settle for that watery red shit they try to say is a tomato. same with strawberries - you can't even eat a strawberry without adding sugar/honey/whipped cream because it tastes so bland. |

| I know Australia uses quite a few steroid in its meat products, and the meat taste nothing like it's meant to my uncle used to have a chicken farm best chicken you will ever taste, I grow my vegetables as well but I don't eat them vegies make me ill |
| The super market fruits taste terrible most of the fruit/vegetables sold by them are over two years, I know what you mean by watered down items strawberry are the worst one of my fav fruits but nothing taste worst then a massive red strawberry that taste like water |
