| @Zarutaku Not sure but Ichikawa is actually projection of Sakurai herself. What that means, he also serves as projection for the reader. By that definition, everyone here are actually Ichikawas who admire Yamada when reading the manga. Norio Sakurai has stated in an interview that she is a fan of idols, and that she enjoys daydreaming about how she would interact with her favorite idol if she were in the same class as her. She was inspired by these thoughts and decided to create the manga and Anna Yamada. She stated that she was thinking about herself when creating Ichikawa. Sakurai decided to call the chapters "karte" to emphasize that Ichikawa "heals" himself after his interactions with Yamada.[13] Also, adding to that, both Yamada Anna, fictional and real, shares the love of the movies and aspire to become (are) famous young actress. Yeah my wife. She looks like Yamada, she acts like Yamada but she is shorter than Yamada and Im taller than Ichi, she is 1.70 and Im 1.80, I dont know how to translate that in US metrics, probably 5.10 and 6 or something. They exist, trust me, she is my wife for 15 years and I hope my daughter, who's coming in 2 months, will look like her mother!
