I look in the mirror and I’m sad because the reflection shows stereotypes and doesn’t show my thoughts, feelings and intentions à la the real me. This explains why they always get me so wrong. Is it my fault for not pandering to their expectations of first impressions or their fault for believing what they want to believe instead of seeking the truth? Perhaps it’s both.  |
