| because they are 100% perfect with no flaw when you see them. They have a lot more possibilities about them. You can think them up perfectly in your mind of how you want them to be. when you see a real person, you can usually immediately point out something you don't personally like about them. also, people irl have probably let you down so much that when you see a women or person irl, your mind is already preparing itself to not be completely satisfied. Also, when you watch an anime or cartoon, you see almost every detail of that characters life and personality. Like the cute things they say or do. They are more vulnerable and easier to fall in love with. You can relate to their struggles and successes because you go through it with them.. It usually takes awhile for a person irl to open up to you or ever show you 100% their true selves. just my thoughts. it's a shame tho |

| Exactly because it's not real and it does not brings you real problems nor real responsibilities. Also you're not going to be rejected for being you, so you're not likely to feel anxious. In a religious way, people have been doing it for centuries. The need of someone who will accept and love you no matter what is quite common, and it doesn't have to be in a romantic way. See Mary (christianity) as a loving mother figure everyone can cry to. Anyway, I also have moments of stopping what I'm doing to properly admire beautiful artworks, music and architecture, and I think that's normal, as I'm just living that moment. |
