Manga readers, is Season 2 of the show going to be able to match the first season?

I ended up really liking ONK. Somehow. I went into it expecting to not particularly care but it grabbed my attention after the first episode and kept me engaged through to the end. Now even that it’s done I remain obsessed with it.

Does the next season match the intensity of this first season? In particular the first episode and the sixth episodes are the ones that I loved for their sheer impact and unflinching depiction of real issues faced by real people. Does season 2 have more along those lines?

Does Akane find happiness?

I find that compared to many other series Oshi no Ko does not really have arcs (or they are very short, 3 episodes at most like in S1). The upcoming arc for season 2 is one of the few exceptions to this. It really takes time for the setup so the payoff is huge

Season 2 might be better, but the opening and ending could probably have a downgrade but who knows?

"Oshi no ko" is a great anime for only 1 episode.
next i watched all other remaining episodes as i thought they are trash .when oshi no ko first arrived it's 1 at episode touched my heart it's rating was so high then but few episodes later the creators porve themselves trash .so the anime is a trash now except 1 episode.

I swear this is dejavu or something cus I remember reading at least 6 comments asking about this, and people answered arcs covered in S2 is arguably THE peak of the story so far.

And I'd agree. Not as emotionally impactful/serious, but certainly good.

This is by far going to be the best arc of the show. the earlier parts of the manga (season 1) are usually really well regarded but i found it tonally inconsistent and unfocused. I liked oshi no ko at that point but it’s this arc that made me love oshi no ko. (to bad season 3 and 4 are gonna me mid af)

Overall, yes, this Season will be great and probably better than Season 1. However, we're not getting a 1st Episode like Season 1, we're getting straight to the Tokyo Blade Arc.

Probably not, but Akane will get a lot of screentime :3
Actually, if the adaptation is as good as in Season 1, maybe. It also kinda depends about how far this Season will go in the Manga (it'll probably be Volume 5, 6, 7, but maaaaaybe 8? Season 1 was adapting Volume 1-4, but Volume 1 was only the first episode. This time we're not getting a long episode, so we'll just see)

Not even the later parts first season were as good as the start of the first season. This season won't even have the first episode of the series to make it defensible.

The cancelling arc already aired in season one, it all goes down after that. S2 will be watchable, but not nearly as good as S1. S3 and onwards will be utter shit.

IMHO it wont have the same dramatic impact as the 1st, unless they overly dramatize some scenes. id honestly be fine with that since kanas going to have so much fun during next season

akane does find happiness, but in the end no one really finds happiness here except us fine cultured people watch|reading this...

It's as if all the manga readers have forgotton that the tokyo blade arc isn't long enough for 1 season and that the arc following it, Private, is fairly short. Meaning it will also be adapted in season 2.
