because people want to hate on fmab for some of the more toxic fans so they decide to be the white knights and make hate treads for fmab while simultaneously not realizing that by sending hate treads their being just as toxic themselves and in many ways are just fuiling the fire that causes some fmab fans to review bomb other shows. my opinion on all this is that fmab fans who review bomb other shows are some insufferable sore losers and fmab haters are a bunch of hypocrites who lack any degree of self awareness.

I'm kaguya fan but I hope it won't stay at top for so long. Fans might become toxic trying to defend their favorite since more people will probably come and hate this show. Kaguya would later be called overrated/overhyped no matter how other enjoyed the show. Being on top is a curse.

To toxic fans: Atleast wait for an anime season to end before you go on tantrum.

Except the main difference between Kaguya-sama and Brotherhood this time is that Kaguya-sama slowly got to the #1 position, well the AoT wars would always skyrocket it up to #1 the moment it began airing.

People always got me wrong. I would never get mad the day Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood was naturally thrown off the throne. I just get annoyed at the bot accounts that constantly try to spam happy anything that has hype surrounding it. Brotherhood sat at 9.22 for nearly a decade then suddenly got as low as, what, 9.13 right now? And I know the past couple of years, it did drop pretty heavy from its former score.

But, no. I am not a hater. I saw Kaguya-sama slowly get to its spot as it aired. The last episode made people put it there since they enjoyed it. After being the king of anime for several years, I can live with Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood being dethroned by Kaguya-sama. I have not watched it yet, but the day anything naturally surpassed Brotherhood, I told myself a very long time ago that I would give it a chance. And that chance is now. Time to invest into Kaguya-sama.

Although I complained about it in another thread, honestly, it doesn't matter.
1. FMAB, while really good and far better than Kaguya, isn't really the best anime ever made. Easily top 10, but I'm not sure about 1st place.
2. MAL ratings were always trash and easy to exploit. Just look at how high stuff like Code Geass, Attack on Titan and Gintama are on the list. It's just a dumb popularity contest, it was never about quality.

what basically happened is a bunch of new anime fans decided to gang up on old shows like FMAB and Gintama, and say some nasty things about the show and their old fans. Likely those who haven't watched it. A lot of new fans are fundamentally extremely hateful people often saying shit on shows they don't even watch. I don't think this is going to stop. It is going to continue until it pisses off enough old gen fans. Let's be honest a lot of people online are assholes. Most of it isn't valid criticism. It is clearly done with the intentions to belittle older fans.

I still have yet to watch Kaguya, but I'm happy to see it get reach such heights. I would never call FMAB bad, I love the show, but it has always felt more of a 9/10 than a 10/10 to me.
