Well CA ant arc (the next arc) is either considered a masterpiece peak anime arc or a boring arc.

It really depends on what your taste is. I would say if you like a darker story thats a bit of a slow burn but an outstanding finale and story, keep watching. If you didn't even like yorknew arc with the phantom troupe you should just stop watching

I was enjoying the show enough to continue until I got to greed island, I had to force myself to watch that. So now I'm pretty hesistant now.

Ngl if you haven’t liked it so far you probably won’t like the next arc (which spans about 70 episodes). I’d just say go ahead a drop it, it’s ok to stop something you aren’t interested in.

And HxH is in my top 10, so I’m not being a hater of the show either.

The right mindset when watching an anime is hoping that it will break your top 10

To be honest, if you don't like a slow burn, you should just drop it. For me, hxh had an emotional impact and although the CA was kinda boring at many parts, the righting was still very good. If you really don't want to experience a slow burn again, I suggest you drop it

Mid x hunter was something I wasn’t proud to watch and I caught myself not wanting to watch it to the point I just said fuck it and dropped it , now it’s not the worst anime ever and I stopped at greed island, I would watch chimera ant arc but i I’ve seen tid bits and it’s nothing special so should you quit is up to you but I did and I don’t regret it

Before anyone says anything I didn’t complete it but I skimmed through clips and shit all the way from the most hyped up boring arc all the way to the end

Personally, I thought greed island was boring but the last arc is one of the best I’ve seen. Kinda like Water 7 in One Piece, Soul society in Bleach, Chunin exams Naruto. It’s dark and a slowly building arc until certain shit blew my mind. It’s crazy good. But if you wanna drop it, you can. There’s other good shounen out there. I liked Hunter X Hunter for what it was. It’s the building point of character development and sort of the power scale. Try if you want, or not up to you

If you feel that way then just skip the Chimera Ant arc (find a summary of what happened) then just watch those last few episodes to finish the show off. A lot of people like the Chimera Ant arc but personally it wasn't for me. I liked the story but it just didn't feel like it should be a hunter x hunter story. You honestly won't miss much by skipping it since the arc is just made up of fights and chess games for the most part. I personally loved the Greed Island arc but I understand why some people don't like it.

Honestly I felt that same for a while. I only started to really like HXH in the last 30 episodes, which I really really liked. So if you’re willing to sit through 40 episodes of not very good paced episodes to get to the best part, go for it. If you just wanna drop it that’s fine too. It’s up to you really whether you wanna spend that much time watching it.

Honestly, no. The anime only has two great arcs, yorknew city arc and chimera ant arc seeing that you didn't like yorknew city consider dropping the show, the only reason I gave it an 8/10 was because of those two arcs and the fact that the anime concluded in a good way.

I think this is the closest to how I felt when watching it. I grinded my way through the whole series and had my friend tell me “oh well just wait until you get to the next arc, it’s amazing” and it never got above mild background tv for me, it was a waste of time. If I guess start watching the ant arc and if that doesn’t do it for you then give up, because that’s what most people will claim is “amazing”

i started to like hxh when the concept of nen was introduced and greed island is one of my favourite arcs in the series, chimera ant arc is very good but you can either love it or hate it there's nothing in between, i once dropped it the middle of the chimera arc because the narrator was explaining a bit too much but then i watched it and now it's one of the best arc i have ever seen.

but what do you not like about it tho?

I mean... HxH is pretty much the peak when it comes to shonen anime series. If you don't like HxH then you probably don't like the shonen genre as a whole.
