Yuki making his research on Kotoko is one of the most infuriating things I've seen him do. Petty insults to an adult/teenager is slightly understandable because he's a kid, but even then it looses its power as a reason because (like Naoki) he's a genius, and should fucking know better to the point that a slap to the face (or hell, even the mouth) would be adequate. Having his research paper on Kotoko is a form of bullying because everything he ever says about her is something bad, which fucking sucks because this research for his summer homework could have been a vector to criticize Kotoko's behavior on a more human level, but Yuki himself is so much of a prick that such an opportunity is lost to the wind.

I haven't even hit the double-digits in this manga, and I've already got another chapter under my belt that I loathe, even if some of that loathing does tie back to my personal life to some degree. As somebody who was bullied, I hate just about every single form of bullying.

Actually, that leads me to another question: is the reason both Naoki and Yuki being pricks to Kotoko JUST in the fact that she isn't as smart as they are? I think one reason why they are jerks to her ties back to their mother: she is SO insistent about wanting a girl AND Kotoko staying that I wouldn't be too surprised if both Naoki and Yuki resent their mother for this, even if they themselves don't realize it.
