Uhm... I've already read this story twice or more and still i truly feel puzzled after the reading. I tried to look for some plot summaries, but i'm still confused: who was whom?

i've found this on baka-updates, is it reliable or i can sill find other interpretations?

yumemiru says
"The actual robot was the girl and the human was the robot(Troy). I think the part saying that he had to pretend to be a woman was said by his partner(guy with the curly hair). The partner used a female voice to trick the robot into believing Troy was a robot. Kiva is the name the girl calls her "nanny"...probably Yoon Kyung. Yoon Kyung is the doctor who created the girl."

Thanks for that bit, now it makes more sense.

Replying to a year old post, but here goes:

I suspect that Kiva is not the doctor, but the female lead herself. There's mention of nanny Kiva needing to be scrapped because of age, and she dreams of (or remembers) an angry female robot accusing someone of trying to forget her, and immediately afterwards asking if robots can dream. The caller on the phone is repeatedly trying to lure the name out of her, just as Troy manages, which was apparently an important part of the robot killing. Sooo, probably, Kiva had a meltdown years ago, and now confuses herself with her charge, and thinks herself human.
It’s time to ditch the text file.
