| I know it pretty much comes down to preferences but when most of the anime out there that does have romance in it has the main character falling for the short cut hair girl, I'm just wondering if that's a popular attractive style in Japan as to blonds are popular in USA, that's what I'm wondering. | Suzumiya Haruhi look much better with short hair, IMO. And Osaki Nana's short hair suits her character oh-so-well.  I was gonna say that it probably reflects what you like IRL, then I realised I find anime males with long hair to be really appealing. Not sure I feel the same way about long-haired men in real life. Some can be really pretty, though, like this one fashion designer from my country who's such a beauty with his long, silky hair. Gay, obviously, but so pretty *.* |

There's actually a scientific study that found a connection between perceived intelligence and hair length. Girls with longer hair were judged as being more intelligent by their teachers at school. I think short, long, medium... it all depends on how well the character can pull off the style. There are as many cute short-haired girls (Rena Ryuuguu, Sakura Kinomoto, Yuki Nagato, etc.) as long-haired ones. |

And about the anime law where the long hair girl wins, PLEASE let me know what anime your watching cause I've seen lots of short hair girls win over the long hair (more attractive) girl character. If that wasn't true I wouldn't be complaining. I've seen VERY LITTLE anime where the better looking girl with long hair wins... |
