Euphie's death stunned and shocked me. From a plot standpoint, I understand why she was offed and I realize it was the merciful thing for Lulu to do; but it still made me sad. Shirley's death. She didn't deserve to go the way she did. I bawled like a baby through Lelouch's death scene. I sensed it coming but the tears still came. |

kk i'm putting this in a spoiler cause i don't want to mess anyone up! For real! Lelouch! I cried so much I couldn't believe it! So many people will always think of him as a "monster" or "terrorist". I am glad that the people closest to him realized his sacrifice! |

Shrily's death was the saddest. I was happy Rolo died because he was an asshole who was going to kill Nunally and killed Shirly when she wanted to help Lelouch, then lied to Lelouch about it. Lelouch's death could have been sadder, but right before he was stabbed they went into that flashback which kinda ruined the moment. But, Lelouch's death gets second. Oh, I forgot about Euphy's death. That was sad. I change my order to look like this: 1. Shirly 2. Euphy 3. Lelouch |

Rolo's death was really sad and I did cry for Lulu but after I had some time to think about what it all meant then I felt really happy for Lulu and CC. To me Lulu isn't dead =) |

Honestly, I'd have to say Lelouch was the saddest death, I mean he took all of hate and everything just so the world would be able to free itself, he even stopped his sister Nunnaly (How did she, Sayoko AND Gilford survive btw? I didn't get that) from doing it herself...which is what he wanted to do for Euphie, but couldn't since his geass became stronger and made everything go...well, not where it should have gone. Rolo's death was sad, all he wanted was someone to love, and even though Lelouch did want to off him and never really thought of him as family, he did care. Shirley...well...it was pretty sad, i expected her to die at some point, but i honestly thought she'd be the first major/semi-major character to go, it was kinda heart-wrenching in a cliche sorta way, with the I'll love you even in the next life kinda way I was kinda sad about Marianne...until you see what kind of person she really was, and Charles was just a...yeah, you know...and VV- I'm still trying to figure out why anyone cares, he wasn't really a good character in anyway, either in morality or plot, sure he was Charles' brother, and head of the little secret society, but...I mean the only real thing he had going for him was when you found out that he was the one who really killed Marianne because he thought he was taking his brother away from him. And while a third season of Geass would be awesome, what would it follow? Would C^2 bring back LeLouch to kill her? Would it follow Suzaku being the new Zero and sword of Justice? Maybe explain how people mysteriously live through the Fleia bombs that were supposed to kill everything? Yeah, personally i thought LeLouch was still alive even though Suzaku impaled him, but then I seen C^2 was still alive, so i realized there was really no shot at that happening. The only way they could bring back Geass is if they do an alternate universe setting where maybe C^2 gave the Geass to Suzaku or someone else or maybe go back in the past where Geass originated, or how its been used through the flow of that timeline, I love LeLouch, don't get me wrong, but i don't see him coming back in any way that would have me going "Really?...REALLY? Come on..." |

The only one I cried for was Lelouch.. But if we put that aside, then I have to say Rolo...they just did it very dramatic with the time stopping while Lelouch was talking and Rolo was talking... I never liked that guy though >.> And I felt bad when Shirley died, cuz I hated her(not as much as Nina though) but I knew Lulu would be veeery sad and that made me sad too D; |

L-LULU. I don't think I've ever cried more for an anime death. I'm still not even fully recovered. Even though he was basically a ruthless bastard the entire series, I loved him. He died so nobly, too. Having all the hate of the world rest on his shoulders so when he died, it would too. In truth, I wanted him to be Zero forever, savior of the people. But Zero is a symbol, and no matter who wore the mask their savior was Zero. Not Lelouch. It makes sense in my mind, if it doesn't in anyone else's... Shirley's death was bad too. She was innocent, and even when remembering Lelouch's identity she only wanted to be there for him. Really, I hated Rolo for that. But even so, when Rolo died, I cried. In the end he was true to Lelouch, who gave him love for that short time in his life. When Euphy died I was pretty upset too, since it was so tragic and she hadn't wanted that at all. Plus her name would be associated with the massacre, which was just a huge mistake in the first place. |

Silberkralle said: I completely rewatched CG with a friend (who didn't know CG before), and just yesterday we reached Rolo's death. Knowing what was going to happen to all the characters altered my vision on some of them. So with fresh impressions I say 1. Shirley - She never did anything wrong and was always toyed around with, there was no reason for her to die. Actually I feel even more sorry for her mother, who now has lost her husband and her daughter. I think there can be nothing worse for a mother. 2. Euphy - Ultimately her death was caused by an unintended geass, an accident so to say. Considering what she wanted to do and that she almost had it achieved, it was really sad what happened. Also she was Lelouch's first love. 3. Rolo - Yeah, I didn't expect that either at first, since I hated him more than Suzaku. But all his life he was just a tool, a tool of the Code and a tool of the Geass. Even though he killed Shirley, I cannot blame him any more. The Order lead by V.V made him into an assasin, he didn't know any other way to handle that situation... and his feelings. In the end all 3 of them are victims of Geass. Which is interesting since Suzaku also blames the Geass for everything, and with that even Suzaku regained a bit of Sympathy. BTW I also consider Suzaku is a victim of the Geass, he should have died a long time ago, it would have been better for him. Sadly, Lelouch would then be dead too. :/ I totally agree with you!!!!! and to think that lelouch has been hurt so much by their deaths!!! I cried a lot on their death episodes!got goosebumps, too! I would have added lelouch's death, too if i had seen it,but I can't watch it! *sob* just thinking that he would die makes me cry! |

Saddest- Euphie- the impact was felt the longest, and her path to death was completely unintentional. It affected a lot of people and was the catalyst to the events in the rest of the series and at least half of R2. And she died as "The Massacre Princess." Could it possibly get any worse? 2nd- Lelouch- Going down on a noble note and in necessity to achieve peace and progress in the world. It just showed what kind of character he really was- deep down, a truly complex and altruistic individual. I respect him for his intentions and can see why he did it, but still it shocked and saddened me quite a lot. 3rd- Shirley- She just bit off more than she could chew, even if she didn't know it. The sadness and shock to me was from not expecting her death rather than the loss of her as a side character. Just wish there was more focus on her during the series. 4th- Rolo- I must admit, IMO, the most interesting character in Geass. Someone who's just looking for acceptance in the world, to find someone who cares for him. But between his assassin instinct and brotherly love for Lelouch, I didn't like the fact his two personalities were extremes with nothing in between. Interesting character, but the other deaths were more significant to me. |

Rolo - oh my. i cried when he died. you can really see how he worked hard even he is not blood related to lelouch. Shirley - before she died, those words she told lelouch was really heart wrenching. you can see that she accepts lulu even if he kills her own father. she even tell him that no matter how many times she's gonna reborn she'll definitely fall inlove with him. but the saddest for me is when lelouch died. oh men, i cried a lot.:'( i always feel sad when i remember that my beloved lulu died!>_< |
