As a fan of Takanashi's music, I've heard of most of the OST's more than a decade ago without realizing or looking into the source. And now watching this anime, the waves of emotions along with pangs of nostalgia. Will cherish these as long as I can.

rewatching this, what Ai did in the last episode was plain evil. she used every trick possible to get Tsugumi to kill her father, she psychologically manipulated her, even showed her fake memories... everything short of pulling the thread herself

I also agree it wasn't Hajime's fault that his wife died. he refused to forgive her and she died in a crash; those were two unrelated events. had he forgiven her, she could just as well have died in another crash or fallen down those front steps and broken her neck right then and there, or something

Like I said in the previous two discussions, an emotional AI is a scary being. She was very persistent in this case to send the Shibatas to hell as her hatred grew strong seeing a partial image of them. Wanyuudou, Honne, and Ren are all concerned with what will happen to them, which is pretty understandable at the moment, as these did not anticipate Ai, their master, to shift feelings for almost over hundreds of years. Pretty cool they meet with Hajime as well.

As for Tsugumi, she ultimately decided to not be truly alone, as banishing her father will do her more harm. Guess I'm glad there was a good ending for them, as following them around kind of got the audience attached to them.

Ultimately, she took it out on Sentarou's shrine, wiping out any traces of him so she would not be reminded of him anymore and forgiving him in the sense that it is no longer needed. I wonder what Hajime discussed with Ai's grandma and who that spider is. So many questions left, but on to the next season it is for me in order to know more.

Still one of my favourite final episodes of a show. 3rd time finishing this show and it's still one of my all time favourites, so much so i haven't been able to bring myself to watch any seasons that came after despite hearing great things about futakomori.

i think it's time i change that though, so starting tomorrow, probably, i'll give it a shot.

This show has its issues sure but even the things that are objectivley bad about it are things that i love. Nothing has ever quite captured the feelings this show gives me
i'm writing this on no sleep after wage slaving i cant write concise thoughts XD
i'll admit i did skip episodes related to animals dying, saturday this week marks one year since my childhood pet dog passed away so it was a bit much for me to watch at the moment, i do remember loving those episodes though, especially the vet one.
Love can sometimes be magic. But magic can sometimes...just be an illusion...
