If every animal were harmless and legal to own, which one would you like to have as a pet the most?

That’s a fun thought experiment! If every animal were truly harmless, I’d probably go for something that combines presence, uniqueness, and companionship. A wolf would be amazing — you’d get the loyalty and intelligence of a dog but with the majestic, wild aura of a wolf.

For pure “wow” factor, though, I’d lean toward a big cat like a cheetah. Imagine lounging around with the fastest land animal napping on your couch, or taking it out for a jog (well, sprint!).

For something weirder, a giant tortoise could be incredible too — chill, ancient, and you’d basically have a friend who might outlive you.
