| on May 6, i actually played the ending garbage time minutes of the semifinals provincial match with my basketball Under 14 team. i clearly remember, unfortunately, i committed a hard foul on the best player of the opposing team, completely without harm intent, and rushed to him to apologize deeply. The next day, we easily won the final and celebrated hard but this time i wasn't even on the bench for the game... still, this didn't stop my team mates from taking me by force and shoving me under working showers in the locker rooms... returning home wet but amused. Two minor facts... the mentioned before player had his hair in Dennis Rodman or Allen Iverson style (nowadays he has moved to Australia still playing with other italian immigrants), and in 2006 he actually joined my team himself (as a Under 21 and senior squad member this time). Yeah, early on in 2007 during a car trip to a game on the road, i confessed him i was "that one accidental dirty player from the 2000 Under14 provincial semifinals" since he couldn't remember me, and we somehow laughed it off. And during the same game a team mate of mine randomly told me while sitting on the bench with me "did you notice that Ekans and Arbok are just Snake and Kobra spelled backwards?" Yeah, no sarcasm, i never noticed before and Pokemon had already become a pop culture giant since the beginning of the year. sq (vv yeah, half of my post are probably basketball focused even if now it's not any more part of me as it used to, and no, i'm a loner and haven't even seen him in 10+ years, i knew he moved over there just for casually watching italian basketball trivia portals) |

| ^^ basketball, huh? Sure sounds like it was a very significant part of your life. Considering that you are aware what your team mate is upto nowadays, I'm guessing you've kept in touch with him? In any case, this was interesting lol In 2013 I learnt cursive writing. Really loved my class teacher. She was really sweet. I was a huge introvert, so my parents wanted to enroll me into extra-curriculars so that i could communicate more with the students and teachers there. That year i was already enrolled in a dance class which wasnt really working out that well (I was timid asf). And sometime around that year that dance class ended up closing cuz the teacher moved somewhere else iirc. Mum would occassionally try to sign me up for singing lessons too since i was genuinely good at that. But me being me would make every private tutor admit defeat (I just wouldn't listen to them lol). Anyways next year i started taking both dance and singing lessons (drawing too actually as bonus) at other places, every one of them continued for years until lockdown when i had to leave cuz of study overload. 2016 |

| celebrated my brother's 18th birthday in march, on a saturday afternoon, by going with him at the most famous bowling alley in the bigger city close to my town. He mostly played the same game with his high school classmates, i instead spent most of the time with a Point Blank arcade machine (i discovered of its presence two years before already) and would have returned in the same place on my own multiple other times during that spring season, especially for Point Blank, again on saturday afternoons. sq |

| During a monday morning in open summer, me and some other recently graduated junior high classmates (at least 4 for how i can recall) decided to go to the local open pool despite rainy weather for most of that day. Nobody else was there, so the place was all for us... it was nice from the management staff to let us into the place and staying open just for us, we roamed free everywhere without a care in the world and still had a lot of fun with the indoor inflatable course to go through without falling into water 2001 |

| began high school in september, with a early exit at high noon on mondays and tuesdays for the entire 2000-2001 year, and considering me and my best friend / classmate had to wait until 1:07 PM for the train trip to return home, we mostly spent time at the bar of the train station playing a arcade cabinet that had four NEOGEO games... Puzzle Bobble, Spinmaster, Goal Goal Goal and Breakers. He mostly played the third one and became good at it especially after learning how to directly score from corners, or easily getting penalty kicks in favor... and if the game was a draw, he always chose to go through p.k.s instead of replaying the match (except for once) and probably never lost again after noticing the AI 90% of the time always shot a attempt at the very center... if the goalkeeper wasn't controlled to move, he would have saved the ball. Starting with december, during the other days in which we ended lessons ten minutes before 1 PM, i decided to run out of the classroom and through the city as soon as the bell rang because the next train would have been at 1:37 PM, it was always overcrowded and often very late. Also, i would have missed out Dragon Ball Z or The Simpsons on television, or even the beginning of some radio shows i enjoyed. sq |

| organized a party at the pool on a summer sunday with the other members of my basketball firm, paying half of the ticket access for all of them because i was the only member with a day job, and then brought back home all of them with two separate short car trips because i was the only non underage member (i was 21, they were mostly from 15 to 17) and the only one with a driving license. For dinner we improvised ordering family-sized pizza at a close restaurant but my parents luckily were cool with all of this. (i forgot... we had fun making kamehamehas into the water to each other, until we almost hit a random adult person outside risking to ruin his phone) sq |

| spent my first fall season after having stopped going to school forever (graduated from HS the summer before and confirmed my longtime made decision "that's it, no university"). At first it was a good feeling, but going on i noticed how hard it was to find a job with little to no experience before (just tending bars at basketball tournaments or valley fests), i had to be focused on driving school because it was already expensive back then and didn't want to waste my family's funds, and obviously it was something i wanted / needed to have, and reluctantly decided to stop playing basketball in early november (more on that in a future 2005 post). On a more positive side, italian MTV channel organized a Anime Week event in september, i found right now a full list of what they aired, and i always remembered the night in which i discovered DNA^2 (probable future rewatch now that Amazon Prime Video purchased it) and Burn Up Excess, even if they just broadcasted the first episodes and i didn't see the full latter series until 2007. Also, later on in the same season, i began watching Abenobashi and Full Metal Panic Fumoffu on the same channel. The former didn't look too interesting from the pilot episode, but soon became impossible to drop especially starting with episode 4 (Hong Kong fighting and stuff) and the latter... season 1 was already amazing for me to a point i already daydreamed back then to have a new season with just comedy and no mechas, and discovering it was actually produced and hilarious as expected made me sooooooo happy. sq |

| 17 years old, extremely depressed / angry at the world / disillusioned with everything (same of 2025 after all), and destined to fail that current 3rd year of high school and being forced to repeat it (even if somehow i managed to pass). As a result, one day during march or april i had almost decided to start smoking, despite having always hated cigarettes and having sworn to never touch one since early childhood. After lessons i went downtown, stood in front of a tobacco vending machine, took a deep breath and... "No, this is wrong on so many levels, what the hell am i doing. F... this world, but at the same time i can't give up the last redeeming thing about me. i'll use this money to play at the arcade cabinets nearby like always, at least i'm gonna have fun and won't waste it." sq |
