Much better than what the 14 mini episodes made me think this would be like. The change to primarily 2D was a good decision and the parts that did include 3D were a huge improvement. If it was a little longer it could of had more of a story arc but it ended up being pretty fast paced with such a limited amount of time. I don't know much about pole dancing at all but I've seen enough anime to know this was low on the fan service and seemed more focused on the sport/activity itself which I'll also praise it for.

Can't say I was super interested in the first half of the movie. Each character is given a hurdle to overcome in the form of some trauma from the past they must work through before the contest begins. It felt rushed and a little forced to pad out the story portion of the movie.

But the second half more than makes up for it. We get some absolutely amazing singing and dancing with gorgeous outfits and stage effects.

Gorgeous, especially the second half, where absolutely all the dances are a masterpiece for me, and the couple dances in general just feel a little bit yuri, recommend.
