the anime itself doesn't heavily focus on action alone so some might say its underwhelming. but what pique my interest is that the way the story develops and delves into the characters background, not too much and not too little either. aside that its not very tense so it has a relaxing feeling to it. lastly it is hilarious...

Still very good, im watching season 2 and im loving characters, botan is adorable, brave and quite charming character i love her, hyoma is just stoic too serious character but i find him amusing, vibe between those 2 are great, animation is decent and plot is solid. And botan guardians are funny to watch. Action sequences is well made. There is no trash character, and no ecchi crap. I could give like 7.50 - 7.80 rating for show. Tho it needs more attention tbh.

it's a pretty good anime and a solid storyline, i agree I would give it 7 too. I personally love seeing character development so it's satisfying to see hyoma accept the fact that not a tsukunogami are like paper umbrella

Pacing of fist season is horrendous, but last three episodes is where it gets interesting. Second season is good as well.
