i completley agree man, the idea of the shownisnt horrid in nature, a pedophile who is just a bad person getting a second chance to start over and be better is neat on paper. The issue for me is execution, he gets rewarded with the very thing he seeks, being women of child age, over and over but we have yet to see true change. Yes, therw has been change he is diff from ep1 to now, but he still ends up having sex with eris... why reward him with what he wants? if we as an audience are supposed to see him as bad and becoming good giving him what he wants is a poor way to do it.

Personally, i think if they wanted depressed rudeas arc in season 2 they couldve done the same thing with eris leaving him except for a diff reason. Maybe he tried to hit on her but she gets upset about this because shes mourning her family at the moment. Then he wakes up to her gone saying she needs space from him and time to think. She can still care for him in this timeline just doesnt give the "bad person" what they want. That way season 2 starts with rudeas reflecting on what hes done. He may actually realize huh i shouldnt use women for theif bodies.

Idk i feel that would be better personally.

It's obviously not obvious to the people who thinks it's written by a 5 year old because they don't have the life experience of media literacy to understand it. For them you have to break it down like baby food so they can understand it.

Even then, you'll get the toddler who call out the broken down explanation as obvious, because they're smart enough to understand the story, but not quite smart enough to understand how a good explanation works. At least the toddlers post pretty pictures.

I never really comment but I had to just because of the fact that how brain-dead of an opinion you have. There is a difference between getting over depression and just putting it aside and not paying it the attention you should. Getting over it is what he did with the help of Roxy in season 1 when he went out of the house and here he just ignored it and all that kept piling up and exploded when he tried to neck himself.

(Spoiler free) I mean it is sort of non canon to the manga, you know the entire part with the blonde chick and the party throughout ep 1-3. None of it was in the manga. In the manga, after the eris occurrence, we sort of got a montage of rudeus going to all different places and some minor parts showing rudeus having ED, that was it though from what i remember. Though you gotta understand rudeus has never actually felt the touch of a woman during his previous life, he spent his entire life locked up in a room watching p all day. When he finally got reincarnated and actually shared a wonderful time with a girl he loved and finally got to do it with, she disappears, that sort of fucks up someone if you think about it.

False, not all isekai are “cringy” and exist for “fan service”, only and ignorant person says this, plus there are plenty of non-isekai that are exactly like that. There are some really good isekai that are not cringy and do not have fan service.

However, I also agree that I don’t think this arch makes any sense.

From birth this guy was a “horn dog” liking almost every girl / woman he saw, to the point that it was creepy sometimes.

But were supposed to believe that after being with one girl that never really treated him that great and was never even romantic with him, he has abandonment issues leading to ED?

Then when he meets a better woman that is similar to the first, but far more mature, experienced, knowledgable, kinder, caring, and womanly, he can’t get it up?

That’s not all, they have no communication at all about this issue, so this leads to both of them saying mean things about each other?

This makes no sense at all and is just put in for drama sake and to give the MC something to overcome, quite lame, lazy, and unimaginative.

Note: I don’t lazily watch 3-5 episodes, biasedly compare to other anime, or unfairly judge by surface level similarities. With every anime I start, I watch the entire series, both Japanese Sub & English Dub, then judge each anime based on what they present, to give an honest and fair rating.

I guess people forgot his past life and how he was bullied and was always alone, even depised by his own family, then gets to this world, the displacement incident happens, he loses contact with his family, he gets in a fight with his dad when they meet up again, finds out his mother is missing, Ruijerd goes back to the demon continent, and then Eris leaves him. He's all alone, then he finally gets closer with someone again and opens up to them only to have a huge misunderstanding mess it all up and there he is again, with no one. And people complain he's crying and depressed for no reason. He literally has zero self-esteem at this point and has no one in his life close to him. I'm pretty sure that that series of events would leave anyone in a bad state of mind.

You do know it’s the LN (which is the ORIGINAL source material) is what the anime is adapting.
