Or am I being too dramatic about it?

Jezz guys Cloverworks made one, ONE bad show and that was TPN2 and suddenly its "I am losing faith in the entire studio" adaptations change things all the time, dont pretend that this is unique to cloverworks. It's a bit early to start jumping to conclusions.
Try to remember the sheer amount of good shows this studio has made in just the last few seasons alone and put a little more trust in the staff.
Every studio and I mean every studio eventually makes a show no one likes, cloverworks made TPN2 don't let that botched sequal define the legacy of the entire studio, that same season gave us Wonder Egg and Hrimiya from the same studio. Just sit back and wait, no need to be so godam critical all the time. Yall are effectively overreacting from one cut or changed scene. I can think of a similar scene change in Re:Zero and that did not kill the entire show. Get your heads out of your behinds and wait.

You do realize Horimiya was also rushed as hell right. They literally skipped 70+ chapters between the last 2 episodes, It legit had potential to be as big as Kaguya if they gave it more seasons but they didn't. Their production schedule behind Wonder Egg is also really messed up, considering the last episode is taking months to come out. This is going to be the third popular anime that they'll be butchering.

A bit late but I'm just gonna paste my comment from a previous thread.

Wonder egg priority was too ambitious for the schedule it was given and the production committee (not cloverworks) refused to give them more time.

As for horimiya, they were given one cour and chose to gave it a proper conclusion (perfectly timing with the manga's ending too) rather than a random stopping point that would force anime only fans to read the manga to get the ending. With that limitation, the staff chose moments from the manga which were deemed the most important going forward. Unfortunately, not all of your (or my) favourite moments are going to be considered as "of optimal importance" and so they get cut. But hey it's not the end of the world and we get a decent adaptation at the end of the day. Also regarding the pacing, horimiya's manga isn't the easiest to adapt, even if they did 2 chapters per ep.

Weird that you would mention Wonder Egg considering that it went down hill.

If you mean going downhill narratively, that would have to do with the writer, not the animation staff or studio. If you mean in terms of production, well that's what happens when staff try to be super ambitious in a schedule that can't really accommodate for that (and the production committee refusing to give you more time, instead airing a recap ep as a normal one as if everything was fine). I don't see what any of this has to do with shadow house though? It's not even the same staff.

Guess I'll have to read the manga from the beginning then, lol. CloverWorks is on a streak. Let's see how this show turns out. It looks promising so far.

I know a manga source material being adapted by A1-Pictures/Cloverworks is going to get unnecessarily altered or ruined/butchered. They've been doing this type of shit for over a decade, which is why I avoid watching their shitty adaptations.
