If his pov in doing a genocide is this simple then it will be honestly underwhelming.

Honestly the more I think about the last arc the more I feel underwhelmed. Turning Eren into an off screen main villain with the target of destroying the entire world and setting the entire cast to fight and kill him to save the world, I don't know, man, feels full of "saving the world" cliche and has a sense of disappointment as an ending to such long journey. Did anyone really expect this to be the end?

The arc wasn't boring to read, I actually enjoyed reading it in one go and had some very high moments, but it's just not a direction I liked for the plot and Eren's character development from the Marley and War for Paradis arcs feel wasted by such goal.

Having an ultimate goal that we don't know yet behind his try to do a genocide will be ten times better than believing this is really it, that the main character was just a psychopathic murderer whose main goal all along was to kill the entire world for his friends.
