No one cares if you don't. I am just telling the facts there. Also, these two are gonna have a lot of moments together starting part-2, so yeah better be prepared for it.

I vote "Rem"

In this 2nd season Emilia proved how useless she is. That trial in the ruins, come on get over it already.

Rem got so little screen time, it makes her look useless as well. Thank goodness that her words, FROM SEASON 1, still keep Subaru from giving up.

There's a reason why she is not able to get over her trails and none of it is her fault. Also, you will know how "useful" she is from this point onwards in the story as she will be taking part in most of the major events that are going to happen.

Did you not see how Echidna gained fame from just one episode? Rem did it just due to one episode as well and remember a character that doesn't play a major role in one season doesn't mean it will be absent for the entirety of the story unlike the character which was present in the first season that is nowhere to be seen now and will not be for two seasons. LMAO.

Also, if Emilia doesn't give a good impression on you doesn't mean everyone has the same psychology as yours and everyone thinks the same way you think. Anyways the point is she has a major role to play in the bigger scheme of things(much more than rem). Also, as I said everyone has a different mentality and you never know which moment will give fame to the character at what particular time.

The actual reason she went insane was not properly portrayed in the anime.
