| Putting the shit that happens after episode 18 into consideration, I'd say give them all the time they need. I honestly absolutely love how they limited the runtime to 21 episodes and strategically planned the breaks before the episodes that would need more time and polish. 10/10 project planning. Kudos, Cloverworks. If only 3rei got the same treatment. Episode 11 needed one more week in the oven to look how it deserved to look. |

| Ok, so how do you guys feel about Enkidu's death scene in Babylonia, compared to Zero's? Here's Enkidu's death scene in Babylonia: And here's his death scene in Fate/Zero (didn't make it to the anime from the LN, but they included it in the Drama CD): In Babylonia, he tries to make light of his death so Gil doesn't feel like shit and tells him that he's sure to meet other people he considers treasures too. In Zero, he basically dies while lamenting how nobody will understand Gil and how lonely he'll be after his death. This is a weird retcon. |

| Enkidu having a manly voice sounds incredibly wrong As for the retcon, it makes a bit more sense when you realize the line was originally retconned in CCC, where Gil starts wanting Hakuno(n) dick/vag and ends up finding a new friend that's he likes almost as much as Enkidu. His Zero line ends up being a lot more awkward if Gil actually finds someone who understands him like Hakuno does. It also makes a bit more sense for Enkidu to not value his own life until Gil finally declares him as his one true friend in the moments before his death. Enkidu's character is heavily defined by his lack of ego compared to Gil, so Enkidu being the one to posit that his life is so meaningful to Gil instead of the other way around feels incompatible with his current charavter. |

| It's more accurate to Gilgamesh' actual characterization and lines up with Gilgamesh meeting ''other valuable treasures'' as Enkidu puts it, i.e. his meeting with Hakuno in CCC for instance. Its also more accurate to Enkidu's characterization and his desire to break Gilgamesh out of solitude; it feels more authentic for Enkidu to actually encourage Gilgamesh to escape from his solitude instead of lamenting that he'll never escape from it... Especially since... y'know, the entire journey Gilgamesh undertakes after Enkidu's death is him learning how to value the things Enkidu's taught him and stop distancing himself from humanity. Zero's version of it just feels like Urobutcher-isms. Sorta over-depressing for no real reason, and pretty uncharacteristic for Enkidu. But in all fairness, Enkidu wasn't written as an actual character at that point in time so I don't think Urobutcher really had any idea what to do with Enkidu. Its not really that weird of a ''retcon'' when you consider the fact that Narita and Nasu just took a different route with Gilgamesh and Enkidu post-Zero that sorta de-legitimized Urobutcher's portrayal of them in Zero. Edit: Mfw sniped. |

Especially when you watch Zero now and realize that the only reason Saber "lost" the Banquet of Kings was because she met the nowadays factually stupidest version of Gilgamesh who couldn't rule over a sack of potatoes, let alone a kingdom. If she met Caster Gil he'd probably agree with her way more than Iskander. And now it's kind of extra weird since Archer Gil still has older self's memories and should have known that he died from overworking himself trying to make his kingdom great so his argument to Saber would have been hypocritical anyways. |

| I... actually completely agree. Speaking solely of source materials, Extra was a snoozefest, Extella was 2/3rds bad and 1/3rd mediocre and Link was a Naruto filler. Heck, even from the perspective of just gameplay, Link is the only one I can say qualifies as halfway enjoyable. With Extella, Link and LE back to back, it's like they actually want to kill that universe. In fact, if this wasn't Fate, it would've been canned after the first one. Extella should've been given to Platinum and Higashide, alongside Nasu for Altera's arc. At the very worst, that team could output a 7/10 game, which would still be higher than any of the games we got. |

Self-insert protag, constant waifu pandering and author favoritism, an endless amount of Nasubabble jargon, constant escalation of stakes and lack of grounded human conflict. A lot of the complaints people have about F/GO nowadays basically started in the Extraverse, CCC included. |

And the fact that we're getting not only Extella 2, but also a remake of OG Extra is annoying as fuck. How 'bout you go use that time and resources on... literally anything else. |
