Since this is Eden Hall, a bar, let us start off a round of drinks for the opening celebration of Bartender! First off, I would like to start something fairly light; a bottle of Dom Perignon 2000 would suit the occasion.  And here is a bottle of Cristalino Brut Cava, a sparking champagne, for the under-aged and for those that don't drink:  Let us hold our glasses high for the special opening! The bartender raised an eyebrow and politely asked "Have you have dinner yet, sir? The best cognac we have available is quite strong." The customer sighed, "Just give me whatever. I don't care." He loosens his brown tie and unbuttons the first 3 buttons of his white dress shirt. Saskie took out a bottle of DeKuyper Pucker Strawberry Passion schnapps, orange juice, cranberry juice and some club soda. She added some ice into a highball glass. Then she poured the schnapps, orange juice, and cranberry juice into the said glass and tops it with club soda and served the distressed man. "What is this?" Saskie took a deep breath and replied "It's called an Affair." The old man's eyes widen and he tugged on his collar. He leads back on his stool and gave a deep sigh. Then he said "You caught me. What gave it away?" "You have a small hickey on the right side of your neck and a little pink lipstick stain on the rim of your collar." "She is my secretary. We have been keeping this relationship a secret for about 3 months now." Saskie listens intuitively, while drying some glassware. “At first, it was because my wife and I were pursuing different pathways in our career. Then the 3 wonderful children came along and that made things more difficult. I’m a lawyer and she is a doctor. We thought things could work out. The children are in elementary school and we were never there for them. The children prefer their babysitter over their own parents. How sad is that? At times, I just want to file for a divorce.” There was a moment of silence as Saskie and the lawyer collected his own thoughts. Finally, Saskie broke the silence. “Have you heard of the game called Jenga?” The man shook his head, Saskie continued, “In Jenga, players take turns to remove a block from a tower and balance it on top, creating a higher and increasingly unstable structure as the game progresses. ” “And I’m assuming the loser is the one that makes the tower fall?” “Yes. In this game, everyone is working together and against each other to keep the tower stable, when the tower falls, it’s okay-- because everyone could work together to build a new one.” “A new tower... ” The lawyer mumbles. He suddenly stood up, paid for the drink, a quick ‘thanks’, and dashed out the door. Saskie stared at the untouched drink then poured it down the sink.
