I think most people will agree that Fairy Tail really went downhill. The plot just keeps on getting... I don't know, ridiculous? The villains are getting more ridiculously and unnecessarily strong too but the protagonists still managed to win due to even more ridiculous reasons. The endless trolling at the end didn't help too. *spoilers ahead* Some main character seems about to be dying but at the next chapter they get to live for some reason or another. I don't have a problem with that if this happens once but if this keeps on happening EVERY SINGLE DAMN TIME, that's just very silly. Also, probably this is a biased opinion but I hate how Natsu and Lucy's relationship was shown in the end. I mean yeah maybe it's just to keep them both in character (Natsu most especially) but damn, my NaLu heart was not quenched! [spoiler]Your spoiler goes here...[/spoiler] But other than that, you described the ending of FT well with one simply word, ridiculous. It definitely fits what happened; with the lack of suspense, absurd powers, and victories of fights that just doesn't feel rewarding or satisfying because of the way it was handled. And while I'm a NaLu shipper myself, I was actually fine with how it was handled when the series ended. :P |
