Wow, though, Gil is pretty high with both male and female even though he only appears for like 1 scene. Also, if Melt is there for travelling back in time to redo stuff, I'm surprised Bedi isn't super high in that list, considering how he only walked in sorrow, remorse and self-condemnation until he turned into a living statue then got sent to a singularity to have salt rubbed into his wound after, of course, earning an arm that destroyed him everytime he used it. Yup, no biggie... The sadness of being a 3*. :^( Eh, why? Mashu came second(to Merlin) in the 'easiest to use' poll, so she's essentially beat JAlter in gameplay for the players. Next, she has so much more relevance and is so much more useful and faithful in-game than JAlter is, so it makes much sense. |

You're not meant to relate to Shirou in Fate, but you're not really meant to find him annoying. Everytime he does something seemingly stupid, you get his psychlogical profile in excruciating detail on why exactly he did such a thing and it's told in an interesting way that makes you think about how Shirou's mind tick. In the anime, where there's none of that, because who needs character depth amirite?, so you're only left with the conclusion that he's an annoying white-knighting idiot. And absolutely yes, you should play the VN. No anime adaptation of F/SN so far really captures the essence of what makes Shirou (and Rin too IMO) truly great characters.
