I've only seen Fate Stay/Night sadly, and I am aware that's probably not the best one....

When playing a VN, do you go through all the routes (good and bad ends) or do you just go through the route you want?

I'm a completionist so I'd go for all routes, which reminds me I need to get the rest of the endings on root letter at some point.

I've only briefly had a look at LN's so I can't judge them fully yet, but I do adore my VN's. So for now, i'd go with that.

Darker or light-hearted shows?

That's a tough one because it really depends what mood I'm in. Anime does light hearted shows really well, but I love a good show that's darker and sometimes a bit grim to watch (Texhnolyze and Casshern sins being a couple of picks for me) so I'd probably go with that.

Going out to eat in a restaurant or getting takeaway?

Very nice choice there :P I do love both the twins, but Rem stole my heart.

(also a fellow mass effect fan I see @TheBeetlehead , hows those calibrations coming?)

As for AoT, I am a big fan. And, after waiting so long for season 2 I did turn to the manga. And while i loved it as well, i do think it dragged on a bit in a couple of places.
Plus the artwork is nowhere near as polished as the anime is, so i'll go with the anime.

I'll ignore that Bleach comment Runs off to cry
(Honestly though, everyone's going to like different things. Bleach was my first anime, and is a special one for me. Its not perfect, but I loved it for what it was. I like Naruto, but it doesn't compare to Bleach for me)

As for Sonic, I'll admit i very much enjoyed the 3D ones growing up, but you can't beat the classic 2D Hedgehog.
