| Assuming you know 0 about it, you dont even have an opinion towards it cause you dont know its existence, as soon you know something, you apply your bias and thus start having an opinion. Thats how opinion works. I assume you said i knew zero things about it cause i didnt watched one single episode and then i said i didnt liked it just to hate, which is false. I read its synopsis, saw the previews, looked at genres, source and at the staff of the show, thats a lot of information already and you can assume a lot of things based on that. So my assumptions were based on that. Reddit started to make lots of topics about it after episode 15, so i decided to check it out, you know. Maybe i was wrong. I didnt expected anything from winter and it gave me Rakugo, so i checked. And again i dont hate it cause its popular, hate it cause its badly written. NGE is one of the most popular anime of all time and i love it. I also like many popular shows like Death Note, FMA, Bebop and others. Your popularit argument makes no sense. |

| Subaru's character changed a lot on this second half (to worst).. idk, before he was ok dumb.. but now seems like just doesn't learn with his mistakes... he's like hyper dumb.. You can explain things without having to real the secret... and don't need to just scream orders around like 'come with me.. " "you can't stay here"... The best part was she laughing at the pain of her rejection. |

I mean, I didn't know that was even possible. REM IS BEST GIRL DAMMIT. I read that apparently this was just the prologue and now shit is about to get real. | Yeah, I've been looking for both the spin-off and the light novel, but apparently someone got the rights to publish it in English and translation projects have stopped ever since. It's a shame, there's quiet a bit of interesting stuff the anime is leaving out. Now that the initial rage outburst has passed, I like how Subaru had been developing so far. Yes, I hate him from the bottom of my heart, but my mind would be really screwed too if not only I had experienced death so many times, but also witnessed my loved ones have gruesome deaths. Heck, in addition to see Rem have all her bones broken by invisible hands, he also saw how everyone outright forgot about her existence. That's fucked up, man. Not really a Rem x Subaru fan, by the way. More like just a Rem fan lol |

He being a NEET or not has nothing to do with any way he died so far or actions he did. He dies cause he is stupid. He is really outgoing, talks normally, even flirts with the girls. If they never said he was one in the first episode, based on his actions, would anyone even think he was a neet? And the whole talking was so poorly presented. Characters scream feelings/explains their inner character, without actions speaking for themselves beforehand, just trowing any subtlety out the window. I guess thats how people talk, SCREAMING A LOT. And wtf was those birds, and the water bubbles thingy, and the lights... ugh... |

He doesn't give any general characteristics of a NEET. He's just a guy that's gone through a lot of dying which sucks for your psychy but it's not being played right. The writing this whole episode was boring and forgetful. That's hard to believe since they were screaming so fucking much. You have to have a lot of shit dialog for it to have no impact. There was no impactful build up to his emotional spew with Rem it was just there for 20 minutes none stop.. Even Rem's dialog during the episode was haphazard, imo. They could have at least given some decent dramatic music. |
| I got up to episode 15 now and my opinion has done a 180. Dude almost licked that one candidates foot, I don't think I've laughed that hard in ages. Anyway, point is, this show has a retard protagonist but I honestly don't care at this point because it's just so much fun seeing him get fucked up. |
| Finally, an episode I like, it's only been like 2 months. Nice to see Subaru acting like his old self. The battle against the whale should be interesting. |
