| I don't know if I should open sign-ups for Cluedo yet? I can do it whenever, but Death Note and Favorites are both on-going and Final Fantasy seem to have problems filling up... Nice, thanks! How'd you get that old doctor pm? Jack? I have 2 questions/notes: 1. "Ties must always be dealt with no lynch, rng for a tie is not mechanically accurate and therefore not acceptable. " ^ is that part of the rule or part of the example? and what about rng between the tied players, or lynching both? 2. "It is a modkillable offense if you quote/mention someone in a secret club that you use to take notes in. It is recommended to not use a secret club on MAL if you wish to take notes on a mafia game. This website https://www.quicktopic.com/ is recommended instead. " This strikes me as a mafia-targeted rule for most cases, so perhaps add a rule for hosts to clearly state this in the mafia club. Take this scenario: host doesn't write this in mafia club, mafia player x accidentally tags or quotes a town player y player x is modkilled and to keep the integrity of the game then player y is either replaced or mokilled (if no replacement is found) to stop the game from being ruined. 2 players were modkilled or at least 1 modkill and a replacement of a totally innocent player, and the integrity of the game was compromised because the rule wasn't repeated in the mafia secret club. That's why I think it should be mandatory to have the hosts write clear rules in the mafia club too. |

| @grave_robber We are currently discussing about that lynch rule and will most likely remove it as we feel like that should be up to the host and don't want to restrict their creativeness. As for your second point it is not a mafia targetted rule but actually a town targetted rule. we've had town players record notes in a secret club which quoted/mentioned players in the game resulting in them getting a confusing notification which disrupts the game to an extent and is considered as external influences on a game. We wish to avoid this. And yes it should be clear in mafia clubs that they should not quote or mention anyone. |

(you know how you run the game before hosting to make sure it won't break at some point? | Quick question - what roles are "basic" and which ones aren't? I have some roles in my game that aren't super standard, but they're simple to learn and understand. (Also looking for a game manager to review/look at my setup) EDIT: Togs has graciously offered to be my reviewer. |

I was just talking to someone else about taking this down yesterday or the day before. Mostly design and such koz I don't really do that shit myself.... though it's not entirely needed in the end. The set-up was to be rather simplistic for the most part, though given lack of interest I never actually got around to finalizing anything and have forgotten most of it, though it's always useful to have someone else check it out for anything one may have over-looked. Also given how flimsy my work sched has been of late, I myself barely know when I'm available sometimes, as it changes here and there with a days notice.... if I'm lucky. ^So that also means I'd probably need someone who could solidly be around for phase changes, as there's a good chance I'd not be present for some of them. As for FGO, Fate/Grand Order. Lazy link to wiki here. Edit: If not that interested and no-one else wants to jump on board, I'll drop this come the 10th here. |
