| My educated guess - I believe this would cost roughly $10,000 US Dollar to max all NP alone. Optimistically speaking with consistent good luck. Horrible luck would easily be $20,000+. FBI Alerted Saké Protected!  Should i put out my almost lvl 90 Shuten for you guys instead of Shiki? She's seems to be one of the better suited Assassins for the event now. She's: + An Assassin. + Her kit allows her to fit well in both a Quick or an Arts team. + Her first skill is a mini Waver NP. + Her Second skill is an attack buff + own NP buff. + Has the Dragon trait, which means she gets to deal even more damage with J. Alter's buff. + High HP and ATK and can survive moderately well thanks to Battle continuation. + Her NP should debuff Ibaraki and lessen her onslaught a lot. + The hands clear their debuffs now, which means if you keep debuffing them with Shuten, they'll keep wasting their turns to clear them. Potential Cons: - Her first skill only has 60% chance (2/3 of the enemies will propably be affected). - The huge focus on debuffs makes her an average hitter for a 5*. |

| Look at Saber. King Arthur's legend became more interesting like this. Lancelot's relationship with the Queen and Saber for example. The origin of loliJack is creepy as hell. Now, I dont know much about Altera or others like Nobu or Okita but if done right a gender bent is more fun than the "real" deal. I mean, I cant imagine Iskandar and Gil arguing with ProtoSaber. Or Gil proposing to him in both FZ and FSN.He is pansexual,most likely,but I dont think that he and Zero Rider would care much if Saber didnt look like a 14 year old girl. Then we have Kiritsugu's issues with her. |

Then we have Kiritsugu's issues with her. I agree wholeheartedly. Drake gets a pass due to her myth (switching places with Queen Elizabeth) and because her character was wonderfully written in Extra. Nero is so unbelievably fun, it's actually a plus for her. Frankenstein is pretty inspired IMO and her backstory is pretty gut-wrenching. Nobu and Okita get a pass because Koha Ace (and because they're awesome). Altera will have her actual backstory in Extella, so i'll be postponing my judgment until then. Sanzang was gender bent in Japanese media way before Fate was even a thing. So, really, most of the gender bent historical figures were arguably improved upon with these changes. I think the problem with the new gender bends in F/GO is that with the sheer number of them and how fast they're releasing them, many are bound to fall through the cracks in terms of quality. See Ushiwakamaru, for example. Shuten is a curious example, though, since her design can be both argued for and against. Her myth can support the change, but the change is just a one half of her myth. The myth in her case is almost an excuse to get a half naked drunken loli in there somehow. |

| The problem is that most if not all new FGO Servants, including new gender bents, get no background except their info page and a few lines per Chapter. Except Deon, who is both gender due to skill(and is actually used in game)everyone else should have some story to explain something. Obviously they dont make the gender bents for the quality of the story but for more waifus aka money, but Arturia was the original "gender bend for money and sales" and we know how that turned out for her character. Even if you disagree with her views(raises hand) you cant deny she is a great character.the romance with Shirou is still shiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiit tho. |

Sun Wukong? Sanzo seems to be a 5* Medea with a crazy awesome looking Buster NP. On one hand, Casters have very little good heavy hitters. On the other hand, i'll propably not be able to get another 40 quartz before the summer event. Genkii said: Alright guys, I'm counting on your Sanzo impression and experience. Secondly, I want factual experience that Sanzang brings something new and valuable to the table aside from a flashy single target NP, cool animation and being a hard hitting Caster to bring against Assassins. Let me make this clearer, I intend to get lvl 5 NP. I may have the luxury of getting every single Servants with lvl 1 np but my OCD will be the end of me with that weak ass lvl 1 np. I will go all the way. Thirdly, my interest is in Caster Scathach and I'll be very patience for tight tits sensei. But I am willing to compromise for Sanzang if she's REAAALLY good. Lastly, Sanzang will be added permanently to the gacha and I plan to splurge hard for the swimsuit event so I rather spend as little as possible. (─‿‿─) Again, congrats on that godly roll! |

It depends on what you call "new and valuable", really. The thing about Sanzo is that her very boring set is essential. A Servant like Sanzo should've been released ages ago and that's the dilemma we're in right now. She lacks the excitement of new playing styles (Okita/Jack), new type of OP (Drake) or both (J. Alter), but she's... well, a heavy hitter Caster. That's her thing. To me, she's invaluable just because of that. There's no Servant in the game ATM that can fill the role she fills, boring as that is. About her performance, looks like my initial evaluation was apt. She's a 5* Medea with a Buster NP and better survivability. She has a bit more going for her, so here's the rundown: 1) Medea can fire her NP every other turn. Imagine that kind of NP persistence for a 5*. You could even call her OP just because of that, but i digress. 2) She has Dodge 0.9, which becomes Dodge 1.0 against Assassins. 3) Unlike Okita and Jack, she'll help the entire party fill their NP bars. In a party with Waver and Medea Lily/Iri, i'd recommend her over J. Alter anyday. If you think you'll be alright without her, then i'd say skip this one. You'll have the chance to get her again, even if her rate up will be shared with the other Camelot Servants. I hope we see Caster Scatty too and, you're right, chances are she'll propably be a better Sanzo. Then again, who knows. Scatty wasn't exceptional as a Lancer due to her below average star and NP regen. Not that gameplay would factor in the decision of getting her anyway :p Finally, thanks, Gen :) That roll was too good, i'm actually kinda afraid i'll never get any good 5*s ever again in this game haha. |
| And I am just sitting here crying over the 3 10rolls I wasted i the previous event. EDIt:The best I could manage with my 10 quartz right after posting this was Rama. NOt what I had in mnd.But it was a good draw.Second rollgave me Gae Bolg's Sea Monster. |
