I hear it pierced his heart, really terrible. Also, Timothy Treadwell died a sad death, but I kind of felt like he went the way he would have wanted to.

I know that steve irwing once said that he knows he'll prolly die at a young age. I guess dying like that was the most "well-suited" end for his life. at least more so than dying in his sleep or something like that but still. too young D:
I only read about timothy treadwell a few times but yeah... being eaten by bears is pretty... sad.

It's just sad for Irwin's children as well.

If you watch that Treadwell documentary, Grizzly Man, you can tell his obsession with bears was so genuine, and there was such love, than I don't think he could have lived (or died--perhaps) any other way.

that death actually shocked me because I remember always watching his show when I had time and saw it was on and thinking "he's gonna die a painful death one of these days. he'll either be bitten by a cobra in the middle of nowhere, fall over the edge of a cliff or get slaughtered by a hord of wild hamsters" but when he actually died while filming I felt somehow bad for always thinking something would happen to him and actually kinda waiting for it.
i've never seen a stingray in real life... and I don't think I want to lol
the crocodiles I saw swimming by on a beach in australia were enough xD

My Grandpa used to say the same only that he kept insisting it would be the crocodiles or alligators that would get him.

His death shocked me as well. I guess cause it was so sudden. I expected him to live for a few more years.

a short story from my day today (or... yesterday for me now, whatever):

I was at work and talking on the phone (of course) when my boss sent a message to all the pcs that read:

"don't look but I think harry is drinking his own urine"
of course I looked up to see harry, one of my colleagues, holding a glass with bright yellow something in it, staring at his screen like an idiot (he had gotten the message too) and my other 30 something colleagues also standing up from their desks, still talking on the phone, just.... looking at him o.O and waiting for... whatever. for him to drink his own urine I guess.

I started laughing like a maniac and totally fecked up my phone call.

I appreciate get frustrated how subs try to explain puns when they're used up at the top of the screen.

especially if the "explanation" is like 50 sentences long, takes up half the screen and disappears within.... 3 seconds D':

I can't do that. those explanations are to me what spoiler buttons are to you.
I have to read them. so I rewind and stop everytime that happens. Only to find that most of the explanations are so bad that I would need an explanation for the explanation to get it

I think it's because I'm obsessive about that sort of stuff, it's why when I watch subs with other people I think I must overcome it somewhat, because I can't ask them to stop and rewind it.

yeah, well, when it was at school there were plenty of people, and the projector screens were pretty big, and everyone seemed quiet enough.

It is weird to watch movies with people sometimes, because it's not that interactive, only when you discuss the movie afterward. All you're really doing is sharing a common experience with the other person.

You won't go to the movies with Kyuu? Well, it's always nice to make a date of it when you do, go out to dinner. I used to like that, still would.

Yeah, when I go to the movies with someone there's usually something else involved like dinner, going out for drinks or just a walk. I think it's rather stupid to just meet up, go see a movie and then go home seperately. that makes it seem as though you just want someone you know next to you so that you don't feel like an idiot for going alone. if it was like that I could just get one of these and put it in the seat next to me.

... okay that would be creepy.

Or a Real Doll, which reminds me Lars and the Real Girl is a really touching movie. I go to the movies alone sometimes, usually when something is depressing me, or I've had a really shitty experience, I just want to crawl into a huge dark room and forget everything else.

a friend told me about lars and the real girl and I still have to watch it.

I've only been to to the movies alone once on a really bad day when I didn't know what I wanted to do but knew that I wanted to get out for a few hours. I don't even remember what movie that was, so I guess I was pretty busy sulking D:

Going to the movies alone is all about sulking and forgetting things. When you go with others, you go on dates to see Harry Potter. Usually.

Unless you are like boring Rocket_Dive who can't get anyone to go on a date with her, even though Harry Potter is involved. Or maybe it is because of Harry. T_T
I could ask my lovely colleague from work but I'd rather burn my Harry Potter book collection before doing that and that's saying something lol

I always feel bad when I see people going to the movies alone. They prolly want to be alone but still I can't help thinking "someone should sit down next to them." Someone as in someone else because my sympathy doesn't go that far lol

This event actually happened this year ^^

I was sitting at the lunch table with my group of friends. A freshman friend of mine come's up behind me and starts tickling my sides. I wasn't expecting her to come up behind me so I bolt up straight into her chin. We were both down for the count for several minutes but we both couldn't help but laugh.

This reminded me so much of the accidental head butt scenes in anime.

stuff like that can get dangerous D:

I was on a longer bus journey a few weeks ago, and fell asleep. a friend of mine was already sleeping next to me. I somehow slid down in my seat and he was having a weird dream, woke up with a start and... rammed his elbow into my face. that was a nice black eye for me X-x

//

story from today:

I'm supposed to go to a friend's house tonight where the two of us and another friend are going to ... I can't say it, it's too shameful D: anyway, they are at some sort of family event right now and one of these friends texted me something along the lines of "We're happily drinking at the moment, you better have a few drinks too before meeting up, to prepare for us. We looooove you."

Now ... I'm scared.
