To the idiot whose been trying to argue that Vampire Knight is worse than Twilight as a vampire-love-drama:

Wrong. Vampire Knight is much better than Twilight, for a variety of reasons.

Reason One: Twilight has no real vampires in it.

Edward Cullen possesses none of the traits typical to vampires. He utilizes poison to "turn" his victims, as opposed to demonic magic, he has no inherent weakness to sunlight (nor does he have any weakness whatsoever,) he isn't repelled by garlic, etc...

Hell the man doesn't even have fangs! The only reason that Meyer was allowed to get away with calling Eddie a vampire in the first place is because he's a Sanguinovore (blood drinker)

...So he's basically like a leech, or a mosquito...in short, Edward is a parasite...not a real vampire.

Now, Vampire Knight on the other hand does contain actual vampries. Take Kaname for example. He needs to drink blood three times a day in order to live, has weaknesses (the "bloody rose" gun...even if you think it's a dumb idea, it's still a weakness,) and possesses unique vampire magic.

If nothing else, he does have fangs. That instantly makes him more of a vampire than Eddie, who doesn't even have a pair.

Let's take two random vampires from Vampire Knight: Shiki and Aidou.

They both have some pretty unique powers; Shiki can use blood like a whip, and Aidou can freeze things instantly. While cryokinesis hasn't gone unheard of, especially in the realms of science fiction and fantasy, the ability to manipulate blood was practically unheard of until the release of this anime.

Now, let's continue to expand on their differences in character:

Lol. I've read Twilight. He was abusive. Just because it wasn't explicitly stated does not mean it wasn't there. I'm quite certain that Stephanie Meyer didn't intend Edward to come off as abusive which is what I find truly disturbing about the whole affair. My problem isn't really with Edward though. Bella herself is everything I hate in a female lead. She's a doormat in every sense of the word and defends Edward's atrocious behaviour with "he does it because he loves me" or "he's really protective". If you can't discern that they have an unhealthy relationship then I suggest you read Twilight again with a more critical eye. Better yet. Read something that doesn't sound like it was written by a 14 year old girl equipped with a thesaurus. Just my two cents.

Why? Because I happened to discover a book that wasn't the greatest but was entertaining and then six months later rabid fangirls spread overhype like wildfire? :P

I could play your game. You watch Naruto and Bleach, right? I could say I feel sorry for you, because I find those animes pretty terrible and I don't understand why they'd have such a fanbase. But hey - you have different interests from me, so why bother right? If you enjoy it, I'll live and let live.

Anyone who feels the need to flame ANYONE - not just rabid fanbois and girlz, but ANYONE - who happens to enjoy a particular book or show just because they themselves dislike it, is being either a troll, retarded, or butthurt. Or all three.

With that said, I fucking hate stupid Twilight fangirls who won't shut the fuck up about how hawt Edward piss me off. I stopped harping on them ages ago. It only made it worse. (See above reasons.)

It most definitely isn't. There were parts that made my stomach turn in the fourth book. Didn't quite ruin my enjoyment of the series, but close.
