I agree with staying away from regular Japanese phrases like "arigato" unless they're overused by otaku.

Media specific:
Insert song - the song they play during the episode
OST - original sound track
sub - subtitles, but usually refers to the Japanese audio with English subtitles
dub - usually refers to the English version of the series.
seiyuu - voice actor

Math Terms on the net
A x B I support the relationship between A and B. (as opposed to just A kisses B)
A > B A is better than B
A >>>>>> B A is much better than B

ONA = Original Net Animation

so what Seasonreaper said was correct ^_^ examples of ONAs are Candy Boy and Eve no Jikan.

ONAs are also referred to as 'web' on some sites (like anidb for example).

OST also means Official Sound Track

Do we already have kaomoji on the list? A lot of fans use kaomojis (Japanese emoticons - ^_^ >_< ;_;) but they don't know what it's called, and how many kinds there are.

Nope, don't have that yet. I never heard of this though, but it makes sense "kao"=face & "moji"=letter. If you know a lot about this (I hardly use them), you can write something if you have the time or will. Otherwise I'll just do some research.

Yup! I think there's another term, but I can't remember. EDIT: Found out through wiki - it's kaoani (animated emoticons) and emoji (ones usually found in mobile phones?)

I only know two sources -

http://jankey.hp.infoseek.co.jp/kaomoj.shtml -- it's in Japanese though - I don't know how to read hiragana that well yet -_-

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Emoticon#Common_eastern_examples -- wiki is our friend :P

The strangest one I found is this:

_・)ノ_・)ノ_・)ノ_・)ノ_・)ノ_・)ノ

don't know what's that supposed to mean XD

I laughed so hard but my friend is new to anime and he asked me what the hell is filler. He can speak English. He's very good at it and he understands what that word means but he doesn't understand what it means in anime and i tough maybe you should ad it in your guide cause there may be more people who don't no the meaning of this word in anime world. OK i talk to much.
