The Anime is quite good animation and i cant enjoy while watching it,, i love the story about The mysterious doll who live like human and how jun the hikikomori kid trying to escape from his trauma,, but its showing more comedy and slice of live more than action here,, and litle by little shinku became interesting to jun and becam love him i think,, and the ending is good suiginto was burned,, and at firs i think all the doll is disappear from jun cause the rose ring was gone but look like its just out of energy and all back to jub house again,, the stories continues,, i want to see the next season..

My 105th completed (only the first season) series chronologically.

For the record, I extended it a 6/10 rating.

The MC was an ass to anyone and everyone around him so he was pretty hard to put up with. Not really sure still what his issue even was. He failed a test and had to go to a different school? Don't know why that was such a traumatic event, but ok. But I still don't get why he quit going to the school he ended up at. It sounded like he was there for a while, got pissy with some classmates and just dropped out? You can just choose to not go and the authorities won't intervene? I felt bad for his sister who had to put up with his BS every day. He treated her like garbage. I know he's like only 11 or something but what a POS. Where are even his parents to lay down the law and make him go to class? Other characters were good so it's alright overall but man what an unlikable MC.

I bet any bullied kid could recover if they had an entire staff of people trying to fix them.

Free my girl Suigintou

Very naissu episode and ending, and anime overall! Jun thought he was safe and free from the dolls and the chaos they brought, then... Oh boi. XD
Also, RIP Suigintou. What a sad death... ;-; Rozen is an asshole af. Who tf puts their daughters to fight to the death to become the "perfect girl"? Hopefully she will return next season, and who knows, maybe have a change of heart? :3
I'll wait a bit before continuing. Watch and complete some other anime, and then return to the 2nd season, Träumend, later. Also, loved the german influence here 👌

This anime shined mainly in its quality character interactions. Jun and Shinku's relationship development was also worth noting. Nothing much sticks out about it other than that, but it's consistently good everywhere. The only exception to this is the action scenes, which felt oddly stiff and bereft of tension, even when there was something at stake.

Just finished this season.. straight gas. I probably have the benefit of nostalgia for the time around when this was first popular, but the whole story, art and music carried this hard for me. Excited to get through the rest.

Overall a decent season. The dolls are all quite cute, especially Hina. Their personalities are strong. Suigintou is definitely a femme fatale, very strong Princess Tutu vibes there with the crow girl theme.

The action definitely holds this show back. It really feels like they just trade blows, launch wind at each other, and occasionally snip clothes most of the time. Like they aren't really trying to aim at each other.

I think that Jun's reason for not going to school is pretty weak. It's believable, but a lot of his haunting memories come off as teasing more than actual bullying. It makes it seem like it's more his own shame traumatizing him than anything else, and without having overbearing parents in the mix, it's hard to see exactly where that level of shame would come from. I liked his character arc overall; I just wish his reasons weren't as tepid.

I really didn't like Nori's character at all. I generally find this archetype to be too pushy and self-serving, and it doesn't help that she isn't cute (*cough* and this isn't Charlotte *cough*). I seriously can't take her seriously with that hair. The swooped up reverse top-knot ponytail, two pigtails, cowlick, antenna hair, and anime bangs all together look absolutely ridiculous. This girl puts her head into an anime blender before leaving the house.

Looks aside, she's the unfortunate coupling of enabling and dismissive. She's not actually trying to understand what Jun wants or is struggling with and genuinely feels like it's perfectly fine to leave him completely alone in his darkest moments. It doesn't seem like she could even articulate why Jun doesn't want to go to school, but still insists on reminding him that he should go. But at the same time she enables all of his bad behavior, ignoring his hurtful words, doing 100% of the housework, and not having him do anything else in return. This combination of traits will never actually help heal Jun or bring him forward in life. Despite claiming that Nori knows Jun the best, it is Shinku and the dolls that break through to him. I have never liked this dynamic in shows.

I hope the next season has more Tomoe in it. I would really like to see her and Jun get together. Sure he has a loli doll harem, but I don't really see these potential relationships going anywhere without one of them becoming Alice. And I suspect they won't kill off all the characters to do so.

Finally, it really really bothered me how they treated the mirror. I get not wanting to destroy your magic portal completely, but at least cover it back up after the bad guy comes through it the second time. All the characters just want to hang around it so often. It's glaring and baffling.

6/10. Not bad but not great. A few tweaks to the premise would have easily earned another point or two.
