So, uh, Takumi raped Hachi, huh? She said no like 5 times and he just flipped her over and told her she needed to make him happy. Not even sure what to say about it other than it's fucked up. I was so hoping that Nana would walk in and plant her boot on his face. I hope they address it at some point.

I feel pretty bad for Nobu but understand where Hachi is coming from. Nobu turned down a hotel inheritance for music so I imagine he absolutely has the means to take care of a baby if it comes down to it, just not as a musician. He may try at first to make the music thing work in tandem with raising a baby, but it probably wouldn't, and he's a good guy who would inevitably sacrifice it. Hachi knows that, too, and the choice to marry Tamuki has been made with Nobu and the baby's well-being in mind.

That's not to say I agree with her decision; Nobu should be able to make that choice for himself. It''s the first selfless thing she's done for a romantic partner in the series, though, and I think she really loves him, so I feel cautiously hopeful about that. Like Nana said, everything is happening so fast. Lots of big decisions being made in haste and in a whirlwind of emotion.

Ugh, okay, onto the next episode :c

Not the strawberry glasses!! :'( They were truly emblematic of the Nana's friendship... the first thing they bought together and now they're broken as the two are feeling immense strain.

this episode though... damn. the scenes with the strawberry glass had me in pain. was not ready for the series of episodes laced with angst but i have to say that it's wonderfully made.

From the start, I always thought Hachi was "hopeless" with men, and it was really funny.

She continues to be hopeless, but it's not funny anymore.

Might catch some flak for this but after standing back and taking a breather and take everything in after this episode, I find myself actually feeling lowkey happy for Shoji, for now at least and as of the last time we saw him. He seemed to have a quiet, loving relationship with Sachiko and away from all this hot mess

It's heartbreaking to see that Nana and Nana care for eachother so much they're afraid to tell the other their hopes and dreams. I wish Hachi had opened up to Nana sooner, and in turn, Nana had stayed around Hachi more and fostered that friendship she wanted so badly. I wonder if they had more time together in the manga? I'll have to read it now.

I feel like everyone is really letting Hachi down :( I get that it's very dramatic that she's pregnant by someone else but damn... her only support is a guy that forces her into having sex ?? That's awful.

Ok so Takumi is not only a manipulative POS but also a rapist... I mean it's not exactly surprising but like... why is every other character in this show like a terrible person. Junko is also kind of a terrible friend at this point why is she always telling Nana some bullshit. She was very reasonable in the early parts of the series but after a certain point it almost feels like she hates Nana 😭 like girl.. why are you even friends with her then.
