But I find something much deeper under all that and it makes Mink ridiculously attractive even if his actions are some of the worst objectively thinking. His route flirts with a bunch of fun topics, life, death, revenge, religion, power, race issues, it's really all good and fun to sit down and think about. THEN THE STAFF HAD TO WRITE THAT AMAZING BITHDAY STORY /dies. I want to hug him so bad haha, I'd get beaten to a pulp! Even if he's one of the least liked N+C charas out there, I think he's sexy as hell with his hair down and so freakin' cute with Aoba. OH I love his bad end too, the writing gives me so many chills. Banner: No thanks, I'll make it~ #3 Character: Koujaku Anime/Manga: DRAMAtical Murder Current Month: December 2012 Motivation: Hmm I always thought Koujaku would be one of my favorites. I love his character design with huge Asian influences and what not, but sadly his story is by far the weakest. He's a good guy at heart but the writing just didn't match up to everyone else's. Maa, Koujaku isn't that bad, I mean the sex scene was pretty funny and he's kind of dorky in his own cute way (even if he seems like a cool playboy). Once he finally gets a grip (all thanks to the wonderful Aoba), it's actually enjoyable to see the two together. Plus it's pretty hilarious how he gets PISSED at everyone, especially Noiz haha, Koujaku has way too big of an anger problem. Banner: No thanks, I'll make it~ #4 Character: Noiz Anime/Manga: DRAMAtical Murder Current Month: December 2012 Motivation: THIS FREAKIN ADORABLE ERO GAKI. This kid is so cute, I want to just hug him to death. He makes me giggle like a little fangirl over how EMBARRASSING he can get gaaaaah. Noiz is seriously great and the chemistry between Aoba and him are fabulous. But the best part, besides how adorable and cute and sexy and freakin sexy he is, is the writing of his story. You can tell the staff DEFINITELY favored Noiz (two sex scenes!!). Isolation, numbness, pain, sensation, oh man I love the themes of his route SO MUCH. The bad ending is definitely on par with Mink's too, gaah it's probably bad how much I love these bad endings. Oh did I mention how sexy this boy is? Plus he's the same age as me for a couple more weeks weeee~ Banner: No thanks, I'll make it~ #5 [Staff Bonus] Character: Ren Anime/Manga: DRAMAtical Murder Current Month: December 2012 Motivation: Cute little Ren! I sort of played the game because well there's this super cute fluffy dog!! Then he had a deep manly voice... dun dun dun. But, Ren is still really cute and his story is actually a lot better than I expected it to be, it's great how they tied in everything from the other routes. His struggle is kind of un-relatable? haha but it was still delivered in a powerful way, especially considering that his bad end was the goriest and maybe most extreme. I think they pulled it all off really well, in intertwining his struggle with his own awakened feelings along the route that revealed the secrets of the story and Aoba himself. Banner: No thanks, I'll make it~ #6 [Staff Bonus] Character: Aoba Seragaki Anime/Manga: DRAMAtical Murder Current Month: December 2012 Motivation: Aoba's probably one of my favorite main characters ever, he never feels over dramatic, irritating, stupid, worthless or what other complaint I have for most main characters. His interactions with characters and the events around him work incredibly well. He's got enough spunk and individuality to keep his own, even as an uke character. Enjoyable and fun to watch and play as, plus a really kind and good guy. Not a perfect person and that's what makes him wonderful. He feels genuine and natural, getting angry, getting embarrassed, just trying to find stability and happiness, it's really nice to watch him. | #1 Character: Akashi Seijuro Anime/Manga: Kuroko no Basket Current Month: December 2012 Motivation: Akashi's definitely my favorite character in the series. I've always been a sucker for that kind of character trope and I simply everything about him, from the crazy scissor fandom to his fascinating ability. Banner: Making it myself o u o #2 Character: Oreki Houtarou Anime/Manga: Hyouka Current Month: December 2012 Motivation: I adore Oreki because I can relate to his character. His whole philosophy about minimal effort is basically a carbon copy of my own. Banner: Making it myself o u o #3 Character: Tachibana Mei Anime/Manga: Sukitte Ii na yo. Current Month: December 2012 Motivation: I love Mei because her attitude towards the beginning of the series was a close reflection of my own just a few years ago. It was simply endearing to see a female lead with genuine, "human" flaws and those aspects of her character made the series bearable for me. Banner: Making it myself o u o #4 Character: Takakura Shouma Anime/Manga: Mawaru Penguindrum Current Month: December 2012 Motivation: It's been a year since my Christmas was ruined by this series, and I still don't think I'm quite over that. Shouma was definitely my favorite character of the series, and now that my urge to rewatch the series is growing, my adoration for Shouma is returning as well. There was something about his motherly nature that immediately drew me in. The contrast between him and Kanba really strengthened both of their personalities, and through that, it was easier to learn more about both of them, and I guess that affirmed my interest in his character. But Gian makes it all better by poking fun at him and after a whole lot of crap, the baka finally starts opening up. Way too much tsuntsun and hardly any deredere, but he's not bad because it's fun to laugh at him since he's such an over-reactive baka.
