The Nanoha movie was soooo much better than the first series though. It enhanced the good parts (Fate, Nanoha and Fate's friendship) and removed the bad (the slow pacing, animation), etc. People should watch the movie instead of the first series now.

I haven't seen the A's film yet (it has much more going on than season 1 anyway), but in the case of season 1, definitely yes.
