| I actually saw the series in the summer preview, well, just a small picture of it, but I passed it up at first. When one of my friends decided they were going to check it out I thought I'd look into what the series was about. The description sounded alright so I went ahead and watched the first few episodes... then I fell in love with the series. ^_^ |
| I read the manga first but when I found out that it has been adapted into an anime, I was really happy about it. I think that it's more emotional when there is motion. |

| I found out about the anime by searching "井上和彦" (Inoue Kazuhiko) tag on Nico and the first episode was among the first few results. Was pleasantly surprised to hear both him and Kamiya Hiroshi voicing the main characters, and that was enough to convince me to check it out. Watched the first three episodes and enjoyed it, so I decided to continue. Ended up watching all 13 episodes in the same day. xD; |

| I found out from Shuhei Kita's site (he sang PERSONA -trinity soul- opening 1 and I liked it) that he's singing an opening for the new anime. But it didn't catch my attention until I watched the ep. 1 of anime two months later in anime club. |

| I was just checking out all the summer 2008 anime and Natsume was the first I really liked =) Though I was really surprised while watching the first episode, since the promo art made me think that Natsume is a girl...xDD |

| I was checking out the summer previews and this anime definitely caught my eye at first glance because: - Supernatural genre is awesome - OMG I love Kamiya Hiroshi's voice - The opening song is wonderful. It definitely has a great relaxing feel to it |

| Hmm. I really can't remember a thing! Although I vaguely recall a little ball of a cat sitting on a boy's shoulder and associating it with Natsume Yuujinchou, and that it was on somebody's favorite list. Then one day I was bored, and I said to my sister "Pick a letter for which anime I should watch: K, M, N, S, or D?" and she picked M. Which stood for Mushishi, but me being the controversial thing that I am, suddenly decided I would rather go with N, completely disregarded my sister's choice, and sat down and watched Natsume Yuujinchou until 3 in the morning. And I'm very glad that I did! And then I proceeded to watch S (Spice and Wolf), then K (Kino's Journey) then I finally got to M, and when I'm finished I'm going to watch D (Darker Than Black). Weird way to pick anime I know, and also completely off topic, but I felt like telling someone. And then this forum magically appeared! I'm so lucky XD |

| I read the series summary and thought the name "Book of Friends" so corny that I never bothered. Then I noticed Zoku Natsume Yuujinchou was so highly rated on MAL I figured it must have seriously misjudged the show. I watched all of season 1 and up to ep 6, the newest ep at the time, of season 2 in one day. |

| I don't read the manga, but I first came across the first season of the anime while browsing MAL around when it was released. With an average looking picture and a synopsis sounding similar to xxxHolic (which I had just finished and didn't exactly want to watch a a clone of so soon), I didn't pay much attention to it. However, a few months later it was recommended to me by a friend who has a similar taste in anime as me. As soon I started watching, I couldn't stop. I finished season 1 in a weekend, and up to episode 10 of season 2 in the next (the rest hadn't been released yet). I'm so glad I watched it though @_@ Although having plot similarities to other series such as xxxHolic, it had such a different feel and was like nothing I'd ever seen before. |

| I've read manga (about 2 volumes at that time). But, I must say, it did not leave MUCH of an impression, so when anime released I decided to watch it "someday later". Oh, I was wrong. It really did fit my taste :) |

| Like others, I found it at Crunchyroll. I decided to randomly log in one day and "hey, that looks cool" so I watched it. But since I'm a pacer when I comes to watching anime, I'm only 3 episodes in. heh. I'll finish it eventually and then get to the 2nd season. >> |

Natsume Yuujinchou caught my eye.And some recommadations said that is similar to xxxHolic and Mushishi.These are the two animes and mangas I love the most,now that I watched Natsume and read a few manga chapters I think I'm in love for the third time ^_^. | Well, o choose other but in fact i did read the manga, though i wasn't really waiting for the anime, because at that time the 2nd season had already been released XD !! I was so bored that i decided to read Natsume Yuujinchou, though the plot didn't caught me at the first time. But after reading the first chapter i completely fell in love with this wonderful manga. I couldn't help myself and when there was no more chapters to read i searched for the anime XD !! AWW, i love this anime !! LOVE Natsume and Nyanko sensei \o/ !! |

| This great anime was recomended by my friend almost year ago. |
| One day, about two years ago, I was looking for a new series to start. I went to some anime streaming website and decided to click on a few titles to see the picture, but didn't read any synopsises so I wouldn't know what they were about. None of them really appealed to me, except for Natsume Yuujinchou. I don't know what came over me that moment, but I got quiet and calm when I saw the picture. And normally I'm quite loud when I'm alone. Yes, I'm that weird, so that was pretty unusual for me. I decided to watch it, with no hint of what the series was about whatsoever, and I ab-so-lu-te-ly loved it. Got hooked after the first two episodes. Natsume Yuujinchou has been one of my top-favorites ever since, I'm really glad I picked it up. |
