| I just watched Pulse. It's very Japanese in the sense that it's ridiculously vague (made worse by bad subs), highly metaphorically, and poetically subtle. It was almost too much follow. I don't know if I just didn't pay as much attention as I should have, but I'm not sure I would have known what was going on if I hadn't read the synopsis before watching it. | Watched 2 good films recently. Petty Romance (http://asianwiki.com/Petty_Romance) had some really funny moments, but it was also sweet. Macabre (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1447791/) on the other hand, is bloody and gory movie from Indonesia. Great for horror fans who have such tastes. Both of these are lesser known so I thought I'd share. |

| Watched two days ago "Samurai Fiction". Was pretty good. I combination between comedy and samurai movie. I was surprised to see that it was filmed in back and white despite being made in late 90's. Also the soundtrack mostly rock'n'roll, but fit the mood of the move perfect. |

| I recently watched Cold Eyes and Rough Play (Both South Korean). I liked Cold Eyes more than I did Rough Play, but the acting was good. I have seen Lee Joon in a whole new light. Among my favorites are- Secretly, Greatly, Werewolf Boy, Chilling Romance, The Crucible, Duelist, Hansel and Gretel, Departures, Painted Skin: The Resurrection... I can't remember any others off of the top of my head. |

Think I'm going to go dig around for some lesser known horrors. Or pop in my Guinea Pig films... |
